  1. I agree, I'll be asking any relatives to save the Chron for me now. I think this is a superb idea though, quite a prize on offer there. Lets hope they advertise it as much as possible and get the fans in.
  2. Rediculous, you're just setting up excuses. These same fans may also remember all the comebacks we have had, most recently Millwall... first game this season? Come on Corporal, was that woosh?
  3. What a great total, well done lads. Worth every blister I'm sure?
  4. Add one back on, I'm going and I'm predicting 7037, 1,350 from Hudds. Can't wait!
  5. Ahhhh bliss, peace at last. I can almost hear the birds tweeting again.
  6. Give it up Wenks, just read it and move on if you feel it isn't necessary.
  7. Woohooo, a Friday night game! I might just be at this one Oh how I love floodlit games, I can't help thinking we will be blinded by our new away kit. How did it look at Dale?
  8. NO! I can't really see that one working... why not make the pitch circular too, and give everyone a bat!
  9. Petty things: 1. The officials checking the nets before a game...why? We can all see they are fine. 2. Substitutes that still warm up as they are about to run onto the pitch. 3. Programmes being too big to put in your pocket 4. Broken scoreboards 5. Players who celebrate a goal by just standing there, waiting to be mobbed. Arrogant sods! 6. That little hole you pass your money through at the turnstile. 7. The turnstiles themselves, especially at away matches. It's like entering a human shredding machine.
  10. Let's just hope he recovers enough to get a few more 'in the bag'.
  11. I knew as soon as he passed Kimi he would be in trouble, he did indeed hold back and let Kimi overtake him again but he was deemed to have extra momentum after his move! Crazy! He takes no crap in the car and if this decision does not change you may was well not bother, will spoil his season IMO.
  12. I always find this weather excuse amusing... does anyone on here admit they miss a game due to bad weather? Does global warming mean clubs are going to begetting attendances of 100 or so in the year 2020?
  13. To be honest these ARE the games we need to be targeting new/lapsed fans, as they will choose to turn up for games like Huddersfield/Leeds/Leicester etc regardless. The more we get tomorrow the more chance of those people returning again, be it Huddersfield or not.
  14. Okay, maybe I was being harsh on my mum there, she did use the oven too. I also remember her steaming the Holland's puddings to perfection. I didn't try the Marmite option, was always a tommy sauce fan. As for a good chippy... I bought a Fish Supper last week, cost me nearly £7!!! Cheeky buggers insist on puring watery broon sauce over it too, what is wrong with these people up here? You can't even get batter bits either. Grrrrrrrr
  15. Can you still get those Crawford's Fish and Chip crisps? The ones shaped like little fish and chips. I think the Latics catering went downhill when they stopped selling these? Also miss Dandelion & Burdock!
  16. Sounds like you need to come back Bob! No need to get on the chat room then either ;)
  17. ...just to add! I did source the Rushton's Originals to a factory in Sheffield where they are still made, they would send me a whole tub for £25 if I wanted. I think the company was Mawson's. I know that was a tad boring but they really are that good, I think Latics have scored more goals as a result of me sucking these fine sweets over the years.
  18. Yes, yes, yes... I miss them so much, especially the gooey Cheese and Onion ones, my mum use to cook (microwave) them so well, the crust was to die for. Also Rushton's Originals sweets... as rare as hens teeth!
  19. No wonder he was taken off, it looks like he is giving birth from that pic. Let's wait until Friday and see what happens, I can see him being fit for this one, we have SuperPhysio!
  20. Hear, hear! The sooner we get 'our' kids (or anyones kids for that matter) supporting Latics the better. They will grow up better for it, none of this Rangers/Celtic/Hibs/Hearts crap. I bought my two little ones Latics tops off eBay only last week for a bargain price and I can't tell you how chuffed they were. I must admit it was a special moment for me too. Well done on the new recruit, if we all managed to recruit a few more each, we'd have an even rosier future at BP.
  21. Yes, I can't argue with that, it must be a factor. There are those that say LW is expensive enough as it is, these are either the ones who don't subscribe or those who go to games already. They try to make it as flexible as possible with the variations in the subscriptions, but I agree with increasing the cost, but only in light of the increasing quality and service it is providing. I'm like you though Stitch, TV or not, LW or not, I'd be there.
  22. Sorry I can't agree with thatone little bit! The subscriptions to LW are a guaranteed income to the club, with the high chance of continuous/rolling subscriptions. By offering such a good service it can only encourage more people to use it. Are you saying that the attendances are lower because some people choose to only use Latics World instead of go to the games? As an exile, it is a slight compensation, but it can hardly be used a replacement. Keep improving Latics World and you continue to feel part of the club, which can only be a good thing!
