    darlington have sacked manager steve staunton after 5 months in charge. he won only 4 games from 23. he was relieved of his duties after the 2-1 home defeat by barnet on saturday in front of their lowest crowd of the season. 1463 at the echo arena. hmmmmmmmmmmm feeling worried at all dave penney.

    leeds suffered injuries before the game and lost beckford with a tight hamstring. and a defender after just 10 mins but millwall suffocated and finally smothered them tonight. lots of empty seats along the sides and lots of the 25000 left before the end kilkenny came on as a sub in the 2nd half but didnt do much really. ankergren did a brill and got beat nearpost and under the body for the 2nd goal.

    two great games i cant wait for on sky in the next 3 weeks. leeds v millwall and tranmere v norwich ha ha should be good.

    correct me if i am wrong, but didnt dave say at the start of the season. we must get to 40 points and then we push on from there and see what happens. well we are on 40 pts now. so here we go up the league.

    expecting us perhaps to go and win 3-0 , remember we were playing 10 men from the 25th minute against a team. who were 3 places lower than us. we should have spread the play to the wings ran them ragged and they would have tired late on.

    if phil brown can go at this stage in the season. then dave penney could also go. however i think he has done enough now to save us. and deserves a break.

    if phil brown couldnt motivate them, then cant see dowie doing anything honestly. he will be working with the same players. also he didnt do much for crystal palace

    cant see us winning the game against brighton. glenn murray will score against us. they clouted brentford 3-0 last night

    true its a good 3 points but folk will feel uncomfortable in that playing 10 men for two thirds of the game and being one up then surely we should be pushing on to beat a team which is below us in the league. also again our goal has come from a deadball situation and nothing from open play. perhaps it came from the dave penney book of defending what you have.

    saw brightons new ground this week on tele. its next to a dual carriageway. looks quite good, even though its still only about half built. how long has it took them though since it was all muted.
