No quite the opposite...   We had years and years of big mouth toothless pipe dreams from a bunch of useless charltons that a bit of silience is fucking golden.

Heart started racing when I read this thread thinking we might have seen the back of the let down that have been TTA and destruction of me generally giving a fuck about the club I used to love.  Guess I have a little longer before I can start rebuilding my love...  It ain’t while TTA are still associated with the club.

We can all agree that the club is being run badly, but it's nonsense to suggest that having the right manager in place isn't crucial. People were talking about the "important issue" last season when things on the pitch were going badly, but Shez came along and proved that the right manager can make a difference. Given that this division has a lot of rubbish teams, even if a half-decent manager came in now we'd have a chance of staying up.

 

Robinson's no sacrificial lamb - as nice a guy as he is, his tactics have been dire in most matches. If these elusive new owners came in and were willing to plough money into the club, they'd be daft, I'm sorry to say, to give Robinson a penny of it.

I didn't suggest at any point that having the right manager was not crucial...

But... The reality is even the best manager in the world isn't going to do much without the right resources...

Even Sheridan would of struggled this year...

Talk is cheap, abusing people or repeating the same message day after day doesn't make them any likelier to sell the club.

Yup. Lung cancer that's spread - L4, L5, T7 verterbrae have crumbled. It's also in the pelvis, sternum and somewhere else I forget. Never smoked. Had spent the previous two years getting fit and had never been healthier as an adult. Manifested itself as back pain so spent three months treating it with physio and paracetamol before the nasty scans came along.

Tablet therapy buys me an average of two years or so and I assume a chunk of that time won't be enjoyable. Three weeks in. Covered in acne. Five year survival rate called at between 4% and 6% depending on which web site you read.

Basically I've made a will. I'm seeing an IFA to make sure the kids can access my pension which they can't if it remains in current form. Then I'll spend as much time as I can with my youngest (who's at uni) and get out to see a few more places. Stonehenge now combined with Swindon away.

It's a pity. I've only just mastered online dating.
