  1. Like I say, it's very noble of you all but it's not actually achieving anything other than saving you a few quid - we are probably as far away from a takeover as we were when you stopped going.

I would say that was achieving something, saving me a few quid (rather than throwing it into the pointless black hole which I was doing)... We used the same few quid to have some fun at the weekend doing other things...

And you also undid your own argument... The club fortunes haven't changed one bit regardless of if I come or not...

  2. Stayaways have given them the excuse to 'run the club down'.

Very noble what you lot do but unfortunately it does nothing to help the club you say you love.

I don't love the club anymore... Its been six years (possibly seven) since I last game to a game. Any love I had is now nothing more than a fading ember...

But that doesn't stop you being wrong, dumb and naive... and it doesn't stop me hoping one day I can rediscover my love for the club...

While you got one part right (club being run down) you still putting the blame in the wrong place. Specially considering a lot of us are staying away because we realised the club was going nowhere and decided to stop throwing good money after bad.

Its just taking you a lot longer to come to the same conclusions... But I can see from your comments you are starting to see it for yourself... You just haven't fully admitted it yet...

  3. "I'm not going and wouldn't pay anyway but please someone else go and do my dirty work for me"

Sick of the stayaways chirping up every two minutes about what is wrong when they are the biggest reason the club is on its arse.

This is dumb ^ Corney was running the club into a dead end when I was paying the entrance fee... and its the same now...

You really need to think again...

  4.

Sorry oafc0000 - I think you are missing the point. It's about attracting the "floating" or "casual" supporter. An example, the missus had some of her relatives up from London (QPR fans) - and 4 of them fancied taking in a game whilst they were up here. When they heard it was £25 on the day (from memory - I have a season ticket) they gave Latics a wide berth - and went on the razz instead. At £20 I'm pretty sure they would have gone. That's the issue (as well, of course, as penalising fans who have no internet access etc. - nothing to do with brain cells, as you put it!)

I didn't miss the point... I just think its more valuable to the club to know they will have x amount of fans on any given day rather than pick up maybe 10 floaters...

  5. I find it hard to accept that making it £20 or making it £24 is going to make a massive difference to anyone's decision process on if they are going to come of not. You don't often hear cost being given as the reason why anyone does or does not come, its almost always other factors. It just has the affect of making anyone with half a brain cell and the remote sense in financial management buy online and it helps the club plan stewarding and catering levels better.

  6. You obviously aren't interested in coming back so like you said why don't you crawl back under your rock. Just don't bother resurfacing

I will always be a Oldham "fan"... Its unlikely I will ever stay under my rock for long. Does it surprise you that stay aways still care for the club and hope it does better ? Does that confuse you ? bless

  7. I was right in the corner, barely a car to be seen so not obstructing anybody and it is a free car park so I've not done them out of a penny. Won't be paying it don't worry.

Well its a car park for their customers. If you are taking a parking spot they are potentially losing out on a customer who couldn't find parking ?

  8. What has improved at the club to make them come back ? Nothing...

Things are worse now then when I threw in the towel.

I suppose the ground looks better now we have a stand we don't own... Unless you view it as a shinning example of the failure to deliver we have had under TTA.

  9. There is a lot of confusion around the 'exit agreement' which will take about 2 years after Article 50. This 'exit agreement' is really a divorce settlement about things like the rights of citizens that currently live and work in each other's country. The media have kidded us or didn't understand that the way we trade/work/engage with the EU in the future is something entirely different and will take many more years.

What is almost certain is that by the time all these terms are agreed the UK will have conceded to the free movement of people if it wants access to the benefits of the single market.

Internationally, we are better negotiating as part of the Eu than we are alone. When we negiociate trade deals we also offer access to other countries within the EU, outside of the EU we will have less to bargain with. Unless that is, during our EU negotiations we can retain these benefits but there will now be a price to pay.

I believe the full impact of leaving the EU is still being understood as no one truely believed we we'd leave. Rest assured that the Tory government has a new excuse to impose further austerity on us, and judging by the state of Labour we will be stuck with it for 20 years

Its only just dawned on me the truths above... We are in serious trouble....

Its the working poor who voted for this who are going to be hurt the most. Morons
