    Heard a rumour if Halifax qualify for the play offs they won't be allowed to compete. Whoever they would play would get a bye.

    Good answer, unfortunately we have some contracted players who won't be considered for regular selection next season.

    Wages are a major problem, I read ours was £1.5m pa for the playing squad alone.

    It's like England cricket, do you stick with Bairstow who is in a poor run of form, but has a good past reputation or go for a younger player who you hope will come good?

    Just to enlighten you, many players are signed these days on stats and past reputation not taking into account the most important thing of all, are they 100% fit from injuries which have prevented them playing for a long time so cannot have been currently scouted. Agents will big sell any player and clubs need to ask why?

    Surely Mellon realises if he doesn't bring in better quality players and a more exciting brand of football he will be out of a job? That goes for his assistant too.

    Watching Dallas he does a lot of running about, but is rarely first to the ball. This is a problem with many of our players and one which MM needs to address. He did that with Josh Stones and that's the bench mark for me on all future signings.
