    So you think MM has actually been to watch him on loan to make his mind up for himself?

    He's still lightweight, but certainly toughened up. His forays down the flank were reminiscent of Andy Barlow and he did OK. Most impressive was he can actually pass a ball, although I can see that wouldn't be an MM priority.

    Certainly no stamina problems last night up against some very tough opponents. You are right he should have been recalled as back up to Kitching and fully assessed by MM.

    Bit harsh, he would have been 17yo when you judged him. He will come good, if not here I'm sure elsewhere. His attitude was spot on last night, something we've rarely seen from the current lot. Let's put it this way, if it was a 19yo I'd never heard of before I'd be recommending him to the club, he showed a lot more than Sachvev.

    I watched Couto tonight he's still only 19yo and one I'd retain. Because he's at an NPL club it doesn't mean that's his level. I don't care what league they play in its potential I look for and IMO he has it.

    Couto had more attempts at goal (one hitting the crossbar and another cleared off the line) than Kitching has had all season- and defended well too. Some of his crosses were excellent. He should be given another season IMO. I know it was against Avro, but it was the ability and performance I looked at.

    If I hadn't seen Couto before I'd say he was a good 19yo prospect. On that basis I'd retain him.

    Benny Couto best player on the field, but still light weight. I wouldn't write him off though. Ashton number 10 Cusani about 6ft 5" playing wide right is strange, but although lacking pace looks decent. 0-0 half time, a bit like watching Latics.

    Avro v Ashton United cup final at BP tonight 7:45 Will probably be the best match seen this season and maybe some better players. Benny Couto should be playing for Ashton.

    Unfortunately, I was told DU preferred experience, even though I know ST liked the more dynamic players.

    Just wondering, is the assistant manager on a 3 year contract too?

    I'd like to see him play for the first though, even if its the last game of the season. It's no gamble though IMO he's a terrific prospect. Having said that he'd probably get no service from the present crop.

    I'd keep him, we said this about Callum Whelan and he filled out and ran the show against us at BP.

    I always renew mine. It's the team I follow not the regime. Mind you if I won the Euromillions jackpot I'd buy the club, make Frank and his family honorary members... and myself chief scout.
