Got to agree with the first part of your post, just one big hole in your arguement and it begins and ends in S------s. How convenient to miss this out completely and turn it like sooo many on here into a lets bash the owner.

I'm bashing the owner for a good reason it's his fault.

The hole in my arguement being Scholes?

Lets not get distracted with the Scholes issue.  The Scholes appointment was always going to be either an unmitigated success or disaster. The latter was always going to result him lifting the lid slightly on some of the goings on at OUR CLUB..Which in the long run will be prove to be of significant benefit.May not feel that way to some now.

Their was an interview a couple of months ago on Radio Manchester with Keith Hill, it was before a midweek game where he discussed Rochdales escape last season.

He said that he knew from within football circles that their was turmoil at other clubs During the run in and that they could exploit it due to their stability. He all but named us in that statement as far I'm concerned.

You are certainly on the right lines there.Davies and Gerrard may not be everyone's cup of tea nor Wellens, but they have been very discreet.

I genuinely believe had we just let Frank Bunn and Andy Rhodes play out the season and allowed them to strengthen in January the way they wanted too and not sign a load of The Lemsagams dross then we'd be top 7 minimum.

I was unsure if Bunn was good enough as a manager but his record is pretty good and we were only on the fringes of the play offs going into Jan the right players we could easily have done it. Instead the Clowns both stick their ore in and our season has petered out.

What has been "achieved" this season has been in spite of those 2 fuckwits.

The 2 FWs were also very instrumental in our relegation

Sorry but that's just silly (and there's no such thing as an EFL fit and proper test by the by).  How can any sort of test conclude on what you are likely to do in the future?

One test could be to assess the wealth of a particular individual as is common in business via a Statement of Assets and Liabilities. This could then be supported by documentary evidence. Surely then the EFL know how much it costs per season to run a League One club (as we were  then). Divide the Net Asset value by the cost base per season and you get the number of years the individual could support the club financially. 18 months is unacceptable. That is not silly,a pretty basic financial assessment that the EFL should be capable of making. All the bollocks about hidden information is rubbish, any proper due diligence should be capable of verification. AL for goodness sake was working in the club before everything was signed off legally. He basically took a punt and it backfired.

I’m being careful here? Are you taking the piss? 😂

My only problem is I’m very opinionated (I know... hard to believe 😉) so I tend to tell people what they don’t want to hear and I have a severe aversion to management by committee. I do sit on a board of directors though, so do have some relevant insight.

I sit on several boards of directors and like to think that when I have forthright views ,and the time to contribute voluntarily, that I do so. I would suggest that you could well be an asset to the Trust and its' positioning against the current regime running OAFC.I am not taking the piss we all need to pull together and use our skills against this clown running our club. We may all not agree at every point along the way,but there is no doubt we have a current focus on what needs to be done.

A few weeks ago, you were bitching and moaning telling us all that Scholes should come out and say what happened.  Now that he has, live on TV, you’re telling us it’s just rumour and bias.  Last night, you said you hadn’t listened to the discussion and judging by your ill informed comments, you still haven’t, or you’re choosing to hear what supports your argument.

    Did someone mention bias?

AL said he had asked his legal people to look into ‘the lies told in the press’ following Scholes’ departure.  Do you really think the BT Sports Producer told Scholes to shoot with both barrels in a live TV discussion?  He said a lot more than I thought he would to be honest - including that he hadn’t done a particularly good job.

What he has done though is totally expose our obnoxious owner publicly.  Whatever anyone thinks, that’s possibly the best thing that could have come out of this sorry saga.

Well said Mr Carpet, we will never all agree on Scholes for various reasons but we SHOULD all be singing from the same hymn sheet with regard to the owner, the guy is an absolute rotter !

Totally agree.PS didn't come out all guns blazing in the interview and was keen to put forward positives around the players. There is clearly a fracture within the squad between ALs mob and the rest. Having spies in the camp and trying to marginalise Peter Clarke plumbs new depths for me.I wouldn't be surprised if Clarke and Baxter aren't at Salford next season.

I’m just trying to establish if perhaps there is actually a plan that the majority of us are not privy too, possibly tied in with the ground purchase plan... the details of which we are also not aware of.

There is something going on behind the scenes at the Trust with potential ground ownership etc.  They admit that and we know that, we just don’t know what it is. I’m surprised people aren’t equally as interested in that. I’m very interested in it.

Ok I get that.Possibly for commercial reasons we have to accept an element of confidentiality until/if something progresses

  8. The heat needs to be turned up on AL now. This is the first outward sign of his contempt for the whole fanbase. He may have had issues with the Trust in principle so ignored them, but I wouldn't give him the benefit of the doubt on that one.Since the day he walked into Boundary Park he has operated as a dictator ruining the lives of many good honest employees of the club, everyone has left either through his "sackings" or voted with their feet because they couldn't stand working for him.Name me one current paid employee who was at the club when he arrived.Free scarves,re naming the stadium were fronts to keep the fan quiet allowing him to progress with his own as yet undisclosed plan. The FA and EFL know what is going on but are impotent, its up to us guys.Whether it is boycotts, protests, not buying club merchandise we have to take the hard road. Things may get worse before they get better but ultimately we want our club famed in the past for being a family friendly club back.

Do you really think he is going to say "yeah I shouldn't have took the job as I had no idea what managing a team in Lge 2 was all about?"

I was thinking along the lines of I should have never taken the job everyone was telling me he would interfere but I never imagined it would be as bad as it turned out.

I'd have thought you'd already discussed a plan for if AL doesn't respond in time or satisfactorily.

All a bit David Cameron and his referendum this

So you don't see an issue in the trust making demands and setting timeframes with zero plan or idea what they'll do if those aren't met?

You are starting to suck the life out of the process.Either get involved personally or let the Trust run with the process as agreed at the fans meeting.

Seems everyone is content to just slip back to normal and forget anything ever happened.

If you were there you would have observed that the atmosphere was very subdued. Everyone can protest in their own way. You have to understand that many find it hard not to attend, but can feel at least as hurt by what is going as you appear to be. We are all different and express ourselves in different ways
