  1. You could see in the first 10 minutes that PV were nervous and tentative. We stood off them, let them pass it around a bit and then they thought hey we can win this.Exactly the same thing happened against Carlisle.Lets hope we can get in Cheltenham's faces early on and get them on the back foot.

Do we have any directors to shout at?

Yesterday we had no appointed Director in the Directors' box, what must the PortVale Directors have thought ? We appeared to have Barry Owen and ALs brother. At half time ALs brother stood looking out of the window presumably Barry was trying to massage his ego with th PV Directors. If I was new to English football I would take every opportunity to engage with football people to learn how football works in this country. John Rudge a stalwart of football was there and must have gone away bemused at how this once great family club had descended into the mire. Rest assured it is not just HMRC that  is on the club's case, the EFL and PFA who are monitoring the situation very closely.

I think ultimately it was the keeper situation,Shez wanted Ripley and we ended up with the time bomb that was Johnny.

We all knew he was crap at being a goalie,Shez defo knew, but curiosity got the better of us and we all turned a blind eye to his shortcomings.

Lemagam vs Shez another battle of wills just like Lemsagam vs Byrne.

There is recurring theme with everything that is wrong here and that is before the Corneyesque financials of the club.

    ABDALLAH LEMSAGAM :clown:

It's actually Lemsagam against everyone employed at the club even if it is merely not paying the wages.I think Frankie is waking up to that reality, the honeymoon period is over there can only be one result. Shez couldn't accept the way he was being treated and reacted in a certain way, he knew that the way he was being treated was not sustainable.

  4. A lot has been said about mental health in the media recently. Let's just remember that it is likely with 1 in 4 people suffering from mental health problems that several of our players may be suffering. Bear that in mind when making personal insults on here, that doesn't help and is unnecessary.Let's face it our players aren't on premiership wages and have relatively short term contracts making it a precarious profession for most of them.Add this to the stress of getting paid late, let's cut them a bit of slack on here and let's not make any stress they may be feeling worse.

Yeah, fair point. Legend is probably streching it a bit.

I also agree his appointment was odd. But he’s here, and while the football is poor results have been steady. Lots of rookie managers have made worse starts than Bunn. Plus he has an affinity with the club. I think he’s worth sticking with till Christmas at least to see if he can get us going. If he can’t- he goes. Like any other manager.

I find it amusing that deyers42 thought sacking wellens was harsh after only six months and after he played his part in our relegation. His favourite quote at the time was ‘the sample size of games isn’t enough to judge’

An yet he wants Bunn sacked before we’ve played a game. ?

    Bizarre.

Sacking Managers has just become a repetitive bore at OAFC. The same failures at Board level will choose the next one then sack him and so on.

TBH.. I don't know and it would be wrong for me to comment if I did. Simon stepped down from the Trust  to take on a full time role at the club and for whatever reason, it did not work out. Its an employer/employee matter i'm afraid.

Thats part of the problem with the structure of the Trust. The Trust representative as a Director are responsible as an employer and should know.

Before I start this isn’t a dig at the trust, it’s kinda a leading question I guess. But the way I see it is.... the trust have a board member? And there isn’t many? AL, the new trust lady? Anyone else? Either way, it’s been said to sit on the board u take on legal responsibility? So quite a big thing. So my question is if u are sat on the board of a company, should you not know that we are struggling for funds? If wages will be paid? Roughly have some idea what is going on? Be able to ask questions etc?

I  Have asked questions about how staff have been treated and it seems that the Trust Directorship is a different type of Company Directorship to any that I am aware of. They don't have responsibility for how the club is run as all company directors do in law. They appear to have rewritten Company Law. I know it is difficult being a volunteer, but unfortunately their is only one class of Director and one set of responsibilities. No half way house and no non executive classification in law.

We will probably pay the wages with the Carlisle gate receipts, if that covers it... Abdullah will then rename another stand or put in a new urinal in an attempt to appease the fans. Wonder if this explains why we always capitulate around Chrimbo. Two words.. Shambolic Travesty.

The Carlisle gate receipts will hardly cover the stewarding costs, that is if any of those turn up on a volunteer basis.
