i would have taken a draw before the match, by half time I thought they were really unlucky as we should have been 3 nil down. Don't think we got in their half much in the first half

It was certainly a game of two good goalkeepers, Iverson man of the match for me.

There bloody left winger with the girlie man bun in his hair whipped some bloody accurate crosses in for them that just needed a whisker of a touch to go in...phew they didn't

    Its a point..

That bloody left winger was Joseph Mills

It was never going to be easy today (yes, ok, I predicted a 2-1 win; more in hope than expectation). Losing Surridge and Lyden [plus O'Grady at half time] was always going to kick us up the arse. PW had no choice but to work with what he had, and what he had was down to the bare bones with only 6 subs and two of them were yoofs.

Any manager would struggle with a scenario like that. What did you expect him to do (not aimed at anyone in particular) in those circumstances? Throw caution to the wind and go all gung-ho? Make no mistake, whether you like it or not, FGR have some decent players and can afford to pay for better than we have at the moment.

Just because the only signing we've made is Sylla doesn't mean we're not bothering, or fucking about as some would have it. How do we know how many players/agents/managers we've spoken to with a view to get new blood in? We don't. There's no denying we need bodies in sooner rather than later and, if there's no movement in that direction over the next week, I'll be worried too.

In the meantime, just be grateful we didn't lose today. FGR have turned over some decent teams in this division. They've won at Exeter, they've beaten Tranmere, won at Carlisle, won at Newport. They're no mugs.

Let's see what happens over the next 7 to 10 days, eh? Then we'll start getting all narky.

Yes did well to come away with a draw against FG.I am sure that a lot of work is going on behind the scenes and things should look a lot brighter at the end of Jan for our promotion push.

Reads to me that he wants to be playing football and scoring.
He really should be given another chance with Latics, in my opinion, but who am I to say "yay" or "nay".

The lad wants to play so why in the position we are in regarding strikers is he not a least on the bench ? Very puzzling

Another rookie is out of the question as we may as well have stuck with Frankie until the end of the season. We’ve had 7 rookies since 2010 and only Lee Johnson has produced a half decent side.

This time we have to get a proven manager for this level even if it means enticing someone from his present job.

Just how we will be able to tempt someone is another matter,  providing a decent budget for this transfer window would be a good start. Whether the money is there or not is another question.

We will probably lose Surridge amongst others next week and thus reverting back to Oldham ‘nil’. We are not safe yet by any means and another couple of quick losses will set the alarm bells ringing!

The word is out in the football world as to how bad life is at BP,  any experienced manager accepting the job will have to be desperate.I am sure there will be one out there

    Playing Devil's advocate slightly...

But AL hasn't sacked that many staff. Lots of those who have left have gone to other things. They have announced their last days and there has been well wishes etc. Appointing replacements isn't as easy. I was actually working in the same office and it took 4 months for me to start working my new role. The time I changed organisations it was nearly 6 months.

Some of those who have left the club have had some legitimate reasoning too.

The Accountant- The issue with Corney's misdoings (Remember how AL said there were hidden accountancy issues) I wouldn't employ the same accountant after that (innocent or not).

The Media Guy- Maybe AL received a complaint from Gary Davies and AL agreed with his complaint.

A lot of his more vocal (former) staff members are on Twitter have an axe to grind. Simon Wood has an issue with him over pay but that's his problem given the bizarre circumstances he works in. (Don't forget he won an Amateur TV competition).

A lot of Corney's hires were fresh-faced, straight out of uni types. Corney hired on the cheap and maybe AL had enough of their poor standard of work.

We do not know what the Administrator did to apparently get sacked. We don't actually know who the administrator is. There are lots of reasons why someone gets sacked, lots of them apply in other industries and aren't connected to the boss being an alleged clown.

Yes it is sad when people with families are let go, but sometimes letting someone go is the right decision. (I've not seen any Employment Tribunals announced). I'm inclined to think there is something in it but like I said above maybe AL has different standards.

Employment tribunals are not announced in advance, the results are reported and until then, they are sub judice

What is the trusts stance? Said anything yet?

The trust dont have a stance on anything. No doubt Underdog will valliantly try to dig them out in the morning. Unfortunately Diane Mellor still hasnt been appointed to the Board.Although the Trust theoretically is a sound concept in practice it is difficult for it to be an effective influencer and I feel sorry for those prepared to put themselves forwards to help achieve its objectives.

This is just disrespectful. You know literally nothing about him. Literally nothing.  Tell me about his finances and about his business background in detail please will you. You must have the detail to be able to be so insulting and definitive.

I do wonder about the motivation of many of the posts regarding our foreign owner.

I didnt have to wait long for him to show his true colours today.Dont lecture me about being disrespectful to him ,when he sacks 3 members of staff by email.

Coach Max Wragg and an administrator also sacked..the mail article states that if we do attempt to sign players in January then they dont think theres anybody left at the clib to complete the necessary paperwork..Fun times ahead...

Surely the administrator wasnt being held responsible for yesterday's defeat.

How on earth has Pete Wild got the gig even on a temporary basis, this club is a fucking shambles from top to bottom and you have to question whether it's worth the trouble any more because this shit just isn't going to go away.

Pete Wilds the only one left.We havent got TP to fall back on as usual

As I thought. You know nothing of his finances or his past businesses and education. Thanks for confirming.

I’m not defensive on his behalf, I just believe in the benefit of the doubt. I’m just a bit more fair minded than you are.

More benefit of the doubt than Frankie got off your mate AL?

Equally I wonder about how sensitive you are to criticism of the club. What I do know is that he struggles to pay wages consistently on time, which in my experience is a basic test of someone's ability to finance the runnjng of a successful business

Nonsense. There are still only 92 football league manager positions and if one becomes available there will always be plenty of applicants, quality may not be as high but there will be plenty wanting a go.

As for bringing the club together-it is staring you in the face. A bit of FA Cup success has brought 4000 fans together behind the club. Unable to comment like everyone on here about finance as nobody knows ALS  true wealth.

The FA Cup ties against Liverpool and Everton brought as many if not more fabs together once we were knocked out it didn't lead to an kncrease in our core following.Nevertheless it is great that we have sold so many tickets for such a long trip

  13. AL neither has the money or leadership skills to bring the club together and move forward.Whoever he replaces Bunn with will struggle. The football world knows it is a poisoned chalice and there will be less candidates than normal to enter the revolving door.Unfortunately the custody of our club continues to be in the hands of a chancer with no money
