David Shaw, the best striker I have seen at Latics with electrifying pace from a standing start. His partnership with Jim Fryatt was something else, wasn't it about 50 goals between them one season? Great memories.
In the 1970 / 71 season Jim Fryatt was the leading scorer with 26 league and cup goals. David Shaw could only manage 24!
That was also my first season - halcyon days.

I don’t think you can buy in there now, they have all been greyed out as far as I can see. They were definitely available to purchase in there yesterday, and I find it hard to believe we’ve sold them all as nowhere else is sold out etc. Maybe we’ll have to give the stand to Kidderminster as they have nearly sold out the paddock.
Just had a quick look, and there were 17 away tickets left!

Interesting views from Mellon reported in the Oldham Times on the attempts to move some players on. I suspect other clubs are trying to take advantage, knowing we want to move players on. Glad to hear that Mellon is standing his ground. Perhaps it's more likely players will move after the EFL transfer deadline has passed, or as we approach the NL deadline.

In 2021 the Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation match-funded Frank to the tune of £500k.
This time they are match-funding him to £100k.

The recruitment under DU truly was shocking and cost the Rothwell's plenty given we've require another round of signings to compete. No surprise the big money boy's are staying put, unfortunately that's their right.
