I'm a moaner in the Lookers upper and, again, I gave Davies a fresh start...until the 2nd minute when it was clear he just couldn't be @rsed. Again. He was too busy looking good. And after he lamely tried to get the ball before it rolled out of play in the corner of the Lookers/RRE he got both barrels! Shez must've seen the same because 2nd half Davies was chasing down those exact same balls which led to either a chance or a set piece. Now for 90 minutes Craig. E4e HUNGR

Got a feeling Shez rammed them poncey boots up his @rse and told him to get back to being a footballer!!! Think he just wanted to look good in the 1st half. Now 2nd half, that's what Craig Davies is about and that's why he's got stick from me for a long time. Because we haven't seen anything from him!! Once he put his heart in his performance he was up for it and causing problems. The 1st half when the ball ran out of play in the corner when he blatantly could've caught it summed him up over the past 2 months. Hopefully he's now back to being a footballer and earning his wage. You won't find a bigger Trotman fan than me, the lad's immense! Spotted him in the Youth Cup Final at Turf Moor a few years back and he was head and shoulders above the rest so have kept an eye on him since. A giant who won't shirk out of anything. BUT He's an unproven kid, only played a handful of games in the 3rd division, and he cost us nowt. A combined bid of £500k? We'd be absolutely crackers not to sell. Remember the days of McNiven and Holt being linked with Liverpool and Celtic? In more recent times we held out for Porter, the best part of £1m, then he walked for nothing. When was the last time we recouped over £300k for a player? I honestly can't remember. Football is a business and no one understands that more than TTA. If he wants to stay and we sign him on a long term deal then great. But if he fancies the move then it's a sad day for Latics on the pitch but an awesome one for us behind the scenes. MARK ALLOTT 9 - iv read in other posts tonight he did not put the effort in???? everythin we did he was at the heart of!!!! Agree Gaz. Best of a very bad bunch. Unfortunately his game rarely gets within spitting distance of the opponents box. Although he was pulling strings a lot the majority of time it was around the half way round. The only player who actually looked like he wanted the ball. The rest just ran away. E4e GOVER

This thread is up there with the SOD (Save Our Davies) topic of lets get as far from reality as we can. Taylor is and will never be a creative central midfielder of the Kilkenny, Wellens, Shez mould. Not comparing him with them cos I may as well compare chalk with cheese, just trying to see him in that three steps ahead, foot on the ball, drop a shoulder, pick a pass kind of player. No chance. IF we can get Vernon plus (any) cash for him then we'll never get a better deal and I for one would be pleased if that was the extent of our transfer window activity! E4e NOGUD

A quick quote for those having a pop at folk who hold the view that it was two points dropped... Can't believe those who hold the above view are getting the "did you go?" argument thrown back at them. Sorry, I didn't go, nor am I a football genius (well not all the time anyway) but against 10 men it's two points dropped. Same as it was the other week when we were up against 10 men for about 75 mins (home games merge into one this season - Brighton, that's who it was, was it?). Even more disappointing is the fact that versus 10 men the ideal player to have on your team would be Shez with his keep ball, passing, stretching the game ability. Got to agree 110%. Folk will say where were the moaners after the Everton win, well I'm still here. Even throughout our awesome run there's been one player who's nowhere near earned his wage and that's Davies. Check my posts. He's a waster. Simple as. And the sooner someone comes in for this he's-only-young-but-he's-got-raw-talent-and-he's-better-than-this-division-but-he's-not-a-striker-and-it's-not-his-fault-he's-playing-there-even-though-he's-been-a-striker-all-his-career-and-was-signed-as-one the better. I've had more than a few pops at Kalala this season, I just haven't rated him. He's still not the most talented of players, he can control further than I can kick, but his attitude, commitment and desire since coming on at Leeds is a credit to his profession. You don't have to be a world beater, you can be the worst player in the world, but if you show the right attitude then you'll get 110% support from me. E4e DSIRE

Well said Prozac. He's been sulking for weeks now, maybe months. He's playing with his head down and shoulders hunched, choosing the wrong option more often than not. I don't think it's a coincidence that it's happened since Hughesy has come into the team. Seems to me Davies wants to be the only superstar around here but when it comes to it he's light years behind Hughesy in so many aspects. And I forgot about him sulking off up the tunnel straight to the dressing room. Now that's a great attitude eh? Also forgot about the time, I think it was after he blazed wide in the 2nd half with Hughesy wide open. Well moments later Shez and TW just stood there staring at Davies for a good period almost in disbelief. Don't think it was due to the miss, just his all round terrible attitude and lack of desire. I'd put money on him creating a bit of a divide in the dressing room as well. When you've 9 outfield players running their balls off and they see Davies sulking around up front, wasting the ball that they've worked hard to win, well I'd be peed off. And great support for the rest of your teammates from the dressing room Craig. And sorry, I'm not one to use the line "i'll pay my money..." but as long as Davies continues to act as though the world is against him he'll continue to get stick from me. E4e 2GOOD

Or the second half when he was cutting in from the right, Hughesy was free in the middle with an open goal, and Davies goes for the spectacular and shoots wide. Hughesy was going absolutely crackers at him but Davies was too busy rollocking the linesman for not sparing his blushes by awarding a corner that never was. E4e GREED

Are you for real? He's played in that position all season. To start saying he's not a striker half way through the season's not gonna wash. The only difference between now and when he was scoring is his attitude and (lack of) commitment to the cause. Absolutely nothing to do with where on the pitch he's playing. E4e NOTRY
