  1. If anything was gonna wake him from his slumber it was always gonna be mention of Citeh. E4e BGTOP
  2. We don't pratice throw ins? Come on, standing that motionless can't be easy! E4e STATU
  3. I'll give you an import squad (in my lifetime): Poggi, Rachubka, Dubose Gunnar, Hodgson, Stam, Kangana, Pedersen Orlygsson, Kilkenny, Colusso, Lourenco, Cywska (Wigan lad), J Johnson, Keizerweerd Killen, Wijnhard, Carlo, Zola E4e FORIN
  4. Our full backs don't overlap anymore, that's the thing. When did you last see Lomax bomb past Taylor? He just gives him the ball and that's his job done. Same, but to a lesser extent, Eards. And corners...pathetic. What Shez thinks during the week I'll never know? What is it with the short corner? More often than not we try a risky ball to the full back rather than getting it in the mixer. Remember Stockport away? Jones miscontrolled as the last man and they broke, nearly scoring! And when they do go in the box everyone does their own thing. Gregan just makes a run, that's it, and the ball reaches the box as he's reached the front post. It's all in the...timing! And desire. How did Neal Trotman get his head on every corner? Not because he was telepathic but because he wanted it. Scunny showed us how to do it. All centre halves and strikers in a group outside the box and they bomb in as the ball is put on the penalty spot. At least one of them will get it. Sure to beat a defender who's from a standing jump and with momentum any kind of contact is dangerous. E4e DATEZ
  5. Three home games on the bounce where we've failed to score from anywhere but the penalty spot. E4e PLANB
  6. We moan about gates, stayaways and floating fans, but lately I've been putting myself in their shoes. Why would they want to come and pay money every other week to watch garbage? Last decent home game? About a month ago and bar the last minute winner the best thing about that was the performance of Michael Ricketts. Before that? Scunny. In October. We turn up week in week out because we have to. The majority of us have paid good money up front to do so. But the people we want back need to be entertained and showed value for money. And quite rightly. Next time you hear a moaner, thank them for turning up and paying their hard earned. E4e LMNGS
  7. If Smalley can't manage 15 mins against a tired full back then what's he doing on the bench? E4e DUNNO
  8. I don't mind Lidds but seriously, 15 to go at home when we're chasing the win, what's he going to give us? Smalley every single day. Or was Shez pinning his hopes on a penalty. Again. E4e MATES
  9. Is it? Is it really? Brighton, Lidds pen. Orient, Lidds pen. Today, no foul in the box, just one of those things? Three games against inferior opposition where we've created barely anything. Corners...how many? And how many did we threaten from? We've just no idea and no clue. Players don't know what to do apart from making a token run...that's when it's not rolled back to the full back. Subs...wtf!? Chasing the game so we bring on Lidds and Whitts? Sorry but 15 to go at home at nil nil...who's more dangerous...Lidds or Smalley? And Whitts in place of Maher? What's wrong with throwing COG to up the tempo and put himself about? Byfield...bring back Davies. Similar players, both bone idle but at least one has pace. And the final word for Shez. Out. E4e DJAVU
  10. Great result, we should expect nothing less against rock bottom Crewe. Finally though, a change in personnel. After threatening it for weeks and weeks he goes and does it. Although I'm not quite sure he was referring to Lidds and Whitts when he said players had to grow up and not being leaders. Anyway surely even Shez can't go back to the tired old midfield against Carlisle, can he? Excellent result. 3 goals shared between strikers, awesome. Glad Byfield has finally got off the mark. Not before time though. So let's now see on Sunday whether Shez has learned anything from the last week. E4e WEULC
  11. 2-0 down after 30 mins then...hang on...that was Bristol Rovers, no Swindon, errr Cheltenham, or was it Peterborough? E4e DJAVU
  12. Davies. They're both Big Time Charlies but we own CD. Byfield has come nowhere near scoring in how many matches...apologies, he was clean through (OK, offside) yesterday and found row z. They should both return to their respective clubs. Jeez, CD helping Stockport catch us up is ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I don't particularly like CD but Byfield just isn't the answer. He's to$$. E4e HEHAW
  13. Ahhhhh Maher. Don't worry, he's a true experienced professional who trains excellently. When his chance comes he'll be ready... E4e BOLOX
  14. Agree 100% Rummy. And I'm sorry, the 'we always play like that on free games' excuse doesn't wash. That's just naive. Every single special offer game is another chance to turn the stay aways. Another chance for Shez to convince them they've a team worth £30 a week. Another chance blown. I don't think Shez has many left. I'd cut him some slack if Orient parked the coach in front of the goal but he chellenged them to come and play football. They did. We had no answer. Once again. So add Orient to the list of bottom of the league teams who've stumped us. Easily. Shez hasn't a leg to stand on. E4e LEEDS
  15. Well I won't be going to Hudds due to the unfortunate circumstance that I can't be @rsed. You could've had first hand experience. E4e OHWEL
  16. You'd think so. But not to Shez. What happened to overlapping full backs? E4e GRASS
  17. That's spot on Lags. The amount of stay aways I saw yesterday was very impressive. Old faces I used to see up and down the country. Why should they come back after that trash? The only thing that will encourage them back is a successful team. TTA nailed Shez after the Cheltenham FA Cup defeat for blowing that chance against inferior opposition, I'd expect a severe rocket (to put it mildly) heading his way. I'm closer to joining the stay aways with every passing day. Damn season ticket! E4e ENDOF
  18. Agree Prozac. The midfield was shown up at Stockport for being pedestrian like yet Shez has stuck with it...oh apart from that 3 game winning streak when Maher played. Hmmm. And remember that mauling we got at Swindon with Shez coming out after the game saying 'players take it for granted they're playing, well not anymore, we've good players on the bench that will now come in blah blah blah'. Well the only thing that changed after that game was CD going out on loan (who only played 30 mins at Swindon). And the team at Swindon was near identical to yesterdays...bar Crossley, Jones, Gregan and Ormerod (bar the latter they're all first choice when fit). So Shez, who are those players you referred to at Swindon and where are the chances you've given to those players sat on the bench? And now it's the same old comments 'players need to grow up, not strong enough, no leaders, if they want to stay in the team, think they can just turn up blah blah effin blah'. Shez, we've heard it all before. You haven't the bollox to change it. But I hope TTA do. Oh and perhaps Taylor has had enough, wouldn't you? When all you get is the ball played to you and the rest of the team then just sit back, phew, job done, give it Chris, he'll do something. E4e ENUFF
  19. Perhaps the "and that's saying something bit" is lost on you. E4e JSOUT
  20. The public of Oldham responded (to an extent) but where was the commitment from Shez and the team? Another dire display against a team at the bottom. Shez challenged Orient to come and make a game of it and they were the only team who did. Well Shez, they came at us and played football like you asked and you've been shown up. Again. Another home game, another point won by a penalty. And chances that can be counted on two fingers. At home we're gash, and away I believe we aint much better until we give teams a 2-0 lead after half an hour. Time to go Shez. Bollox to us having one of the smallest budgets in the league. Who we trying to kid? A spine of Crossley, Gregan, Lidds, Maher and Hughes? That excuse aint washing. There's no excuse. We don't deserve the stay aways to come back...why should they? I'm even asking myself why I bother. It's absolutely dire League 1 football and as long as Shez is in charge it's going to remain that way. He's had more than enough time and money and what has he got to show for it? Shez Out. I'd have Stitch back tomorrow and that's saying something. E4e 1SONG
  21. What did Shez say before dropping COG (again)? Something along the lines of "...he works really hard but unfortunately strikers are judged on goals..." Well seeing as I don't go that much can someone do the math for me...Darren Byfield, goals per game? E4e HEHAW
  22. OK, I've been told. The Posh crumbling was the refs fault and the fact that Shez was tied and gagged up in the stand didn't help. One down, three to go. The mighty Bristol Rovers, Swindon and Real Cheltenham. Who's going to start the bidding? And no, I was at none of the above games. Much better things to spend my hard earned on. E4e APPLE
  23. Banned from preparing all week? Banned from picking the team? Banned from the team talk? Banned from watching the game? Banned from passing on instructions? Banned from making changes? Give your head a shake. Do you know when they're sent to the stands...they're not forced to sit blindfolded in an airtight container! Jeez. E4e SOSOA
  24. Of course I'm made up with the result but still doesn't make up for the shortcomings Shez has a manager. How many more times shall we throw away, in the first 45 minutes, the 'hard work' done in training all week? A draw away from home to a team above us is an excellent result. Another crumbling in the first 30 mins or so is inexcusable. E4e ENUFF
