I thought it was a 7:45pm kick off?
I’m assuming that this was intended as a joke… and you forgot to add the emoticon?

I’m going with three others - one or two of the pubs near the ground have closed down but the ground is fairly close to the town centre so there are many more
The away section of the ‘barrel roofed stand’ allows for a decent atmosphere too.

I didn't bud, shall catch up on that - I fully expected him to just bring Sutton on.
If Sutton had been on the bench, he may well have brought him on

Play Garner, Nowood AND Fondop..
There is NO chance that Melon will start Fondop, Garner AND Norwood

Norwood is only 1 booking from a 2 match ban, at some point he is going to take a booking, he doesn't want it on the last game of the season if we are going to make the play offs.
37 matches is the cut off point in the National League for 10 accumulated bookings - then it increases to 15 by the end of the season prior to the playoffs.
So if Norwood can behave for the next two games he should be okay…

If all fit, tomorrow I would go with the same starting eleven from Tuesday.
A bench of Norman, Dallas, Sutton, Conlon and Norwood

Didn't @Glossop Shrimper say Crowther was injured?
He was voted MotM against Altrincham on Tuesday and no mention of any injury.

When I think of the first game of the season at Roots Hall back in August I still shudder…
We had gone into the game with optimism that we had recruited well over the summer., including pinching their star centre back. Southend were in a mess, with a potential 10 point deduction hanging over them and only 15 first team players…
We started slowly, going one down in the 8th minute and were very poor. Sutton was sent off in the 57th minute and we collapsed, conceding three more in the 84th, 87th and 96th minute
Of the Oldham squad that day, 11 still feature on match days - and it could be argued that only Garner and Hammond of the new recruits can be considered first eleven starters so far.Without the 10 point deduction, Southend would be just below in the league table. They are on a good run of form having won their last three games. We are still searching for that magic formula at home…
It could be a very tight game but I am going to summon my inner @Lee Sinnott and predict a 4-0 victory

I can’t understand why we don’t start our home games with fire in our bellies, take the game to the opposition from the very first whistle, and set out our stall to score the first goal.
Once that’s achieved, surely our opponents will then feel the need to ‘come out and play’ which should work in our favour as MM can then potentially deploy the same kind of tactics that work so well away.
We currently start so slowly, which more often than not, affords the away side the initiative, leaving 65 travelling supporters singing loudly whilst our Atheticos bite their nails.
Ultimately, we all get a bit / very restless and the team then struggle to raise their game.
I think our game management at home would be so much better if we just went for the jugular from the off, set up to dominate the play, get the crowd fired up and go all out to get the first goal.We just don’t break sweat first 20 minutes.
Perhaps if we did then the tone of the game might be set differently.
Might be worth a try and see how it goes!?
It’s a collective responsibility - management and players - but maybe we fans need to do more?
At away games the admittedly smaller number of fans often launch into “Mickey Melon’s Blue and White Army” - the chant gradually builds and is sung for sustained periods - and I’m convinced that it does inspire the players.

Give it a rest now huh? This one has been done to death.

The morning after the night before and I’ve just listened to Melon’s post match.
Huge praise for the effort from everyone last night - singles out McGahey and Garner (and the travelling fans) for additional praise. And Norwood should be back on the bench this Saturday.
It was a very measured and battling performance with Latics mixing up the play to good effect.
Thanks to the players for stepping up now let’s take that into the home games.

The same people who are complaining about the toughness of the questions, are probably the ones complaining about how shit we are at home. If you want to take part I recommend at least 1 month poring over the record books and statistics from the last 129 years. Becomes a doddle and all your friends will be impressed.
But the questions are tough and we are shit at home

people hate on Conlon?
Jayzus what a set of fuckwits.
Launching the ball forward at every opportunity simply does not allow him to play much - he was poor (as were most) on Saturday and does look distinctly lacking in match fitness.
Haters gonna hate.

The Latics Mind questions seem too random to me. They are often far too obscure.
Some weeks I get none at all and occasionally I get one right

I’m still angry about Saturday’s performance - what a wasted opportunity. The team and the management let us all down - and it still hurts.
It really has to be the last time - the players have to step up.
Nothing less than three points will do tonight.
Sort it.

You can’t dismiss Drawing. It’s a viable result.
Played 34
Won 14
Drawn 11
Lost 9
Outcome/majority/biggest/most common is semantics to my mind.
Winning is the Majority.
Winning is the highest of the three options but not the majority of the number of games played.
Where I come from, a majority is a number or percentage equaling more than half of a total.
Semantics huh?

Jesus, we’re in the playoffs with a manager who's on 1.79PPG.
That PPG would have got us to 4th position last season and 5th the season before.

It's very unlikely that I'll see another game this season for one reason or another. So looks like it I'll go through 23/24 without actually seeing us win.
What, not even the Play Off Final at Wemberlee?

I’ve no idea what Walker is capable of as we have hardly seen him play! 40 minutes on the pitch in the home defeat to Woking.
