Off to the big game now - Stortford v Newport County
-
You will Senor, but by then it will probably be too late. All will be revealed...eventually.
If it's as big and critical as you imply then why not spill the beans and get people motivated?
-
Carl Serrant to Newcastle?

Good shout. Thinking of an actual first teamer rather than Spencer and Philliskirk but good luck to them. Has Spence found a club?
-
Gerrard I think. Eardley - first product of the Latics youth system to go to a higher club, either direct from us or later in his career.
-
Grew up in Friezland, near Greenfield.
-
Not as fearsome as Roy Gilchrist, who started his run up from the terracing, I saw batsmen tremble facing him (no head guards then) .
I faced Joel Garner and I can confirm I was terrified!
-
It's a mistake, they mean Michael Mckerr.
They also had re-signing Gregan as a masterstroke
-
The fact that modern footballs bounce aorund like beachballs doesn't help. Certainly goes along way to explaining why goalkeepers look so grim these days.
-
Good signing as full back according to The Times today.

There are two reasons. Historically too many people have taken advantage of discounts they are not entitled to while the urnstiles do not have the necessary equipment to keep a proper track of how many have paid what

Dudley was AWESOME!!! Tell me I'm mad if you want, it was just a shame he was asthmatic and he was always caught offside because he was so damn fast!
side topic - who would win in a 60m race Dudley or Beresford?
Agreed. I was sat with Jon Hallworth and Simon Stainrod on the first SAFE day. Dudley came on as a sub and there was a huge roar of enthusiasm. At the time he was the one player we had who could excite the crowd and I had to explain why to Jon & Simon. That was simple - he had speed and speed is always a good thing; without his health problems I'm sure he'd have made a good player

Do keep up old chap. What's being asked is why we overnight lost 25% of the proposed seating capacity when the BP redevelopment was dropped. That's 16000, by the way. Nobody's suggested building a 25000 seater.
It wasn't overnight, it took two years during which the whole system of Western finance came close to collapse. Do you somehow think Latics are immune to that?

Wonder what failsworth people consider themselves? Mancs or Biffo's? talked to a mate who lives in new moston yesterday and he didnt realise failsworth was a part of oldham
You'd have to assume he doesn't pay his council tax bill.
According to my postcode I live in Chelmsford. It's 30 miles away and I've never been there in my life.
-
-Oldham fans like/'love' him
Speak for yourself.....I wouldn't be too sure about that statement!!!

I am absolutely flabbergasted that some people think Failsworth is in Oldham - FFS, learn something about the local area people. It's just like people lumping us (Oldhamers) in with Manchester. Just because Failsworth is served by OMBC does NOT make it a part of Oldham.
On that basis neither is Royton
-
i agree, surely oldham athletic should more central to oldham rather than the very south west of the borough where 80% of the fans will have to travel two or three times the current distance to get too. we really could be called manchester north end like was muted years ago if we are on the border with manchester
and the road system there is far from excellent as some peaple have put, i travel to failsworth pool for work every week and theres always some roadworks around the end of broadway which are a pain in the backside
There's a reason why it's called Boundary Park and it ain't because it's in the town centre

I ued to work with a Hugh Dick and Juliet Blows....

Meanwhile, I haven't advocated staying in a three-sided BP (or advocated anything, actually.)
Why not try advocating something, or even doing something? Lord knows I'm more than a bit negative about the way things have gone but at least I've realised that whinging anonymously on a message board ain't the answer,
-
Forget that he played for us. I can't imagine anyone saying it would be a good idea with his track record if he hadn't. Trouble with a capital T.
-
But if we could get him for not much money and his mind is right - then he is still a dangerous striker at this level - sign him on our terms!
What on earth makes anyone think his head will be right this time? If three years in a cell isn't enough to make him think then will the possibility of misssing out on a contract do the trick? Madness.
-
I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole. It seems clear that this guy was one of the main reasons why Shez lost his job. I think the other was Gregan with his bullying and drinking (opinions formed from all the crap spouted on these boards).
Seconded. Can't believe the subject is even up for debate.
-
Desperation on both parts..
-
You'd like to think this whole thread was a wind up but it's hard to be sure. He's had his chance

But it is part of the British Isles - which is nothing to do with political boundaries. Honest.
The British Isles are a group of islands off the northwest coast of continental Europe that include Great Britain and Ireland, and numerous smaller islands.[7] There are two sovereign states located on the islands: the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and Ireland.[8] The British Isles also includes the Crown Dependencies of the Isle of Man and, by tradition, the Channel Islands, although the latter are not physically a part of the island group.[
Which means that Ireland shoudl really be called "Little Britain"!
