    Interesting that according to the Sun this morning, Alan Knill was being lined up for the Blackpool job and was just pipped by Holloway. Also, a bit of a reality check for some, those interviewed were their assistant manager, Holloway, Knill, Gary Brabin and Andy Ritchie...put's some of the names being banded about on here into context!

    From Pools board... "didnt think i would see a worse side than oldham all season after our 3-0 win at boundary park. today if anything they were even worse. they must have the 2 worst centre halves in the history of this division and the full backs were little better. oh and thank fook we signed flinders and not dean brill cos he is shan as fook." Very worrying.

    What happened to the £20m development, how come were now talking about £14m? Looking at other models, £20m would go quite far and give us a smart new ground, although £14m (when you take into account the non-stadium investments i.e. pitches etc) wouldn't. Apologies if I've missed something in the previous 10 pages!!

    I've heard that were after a midfielder from Rangers, on loan at Bradford last year and out of contract.

    Never really seen him play but he's a down to earth lad who WANTS to play for Latics, that says a lot considering where we have signed him from so I think its a good signing. Versatile United!!
