  1. If this goes into a 4th day: serious questions need to be asked. Has he already been signed and we are trying to get out of it?
  2. Views like the Henry Winter article are what are going to stick here. Whether we sign him or not. Thank you Simon Corney, thank you Barry Owen, thank you Neil Joy. You saved my club 11 years ago. Since then we have had wall to wall success. Now you have given us this. An as yet 3 day PR masterstroke. The quicker all 3 of you are out of the club, the better.
  3. Main story on sky sports news, 3rd on BBC News 24. All over the radio. For any member of the board to still be discussing this is a disgrace. "They have the best interests of the club at heart" Sorry, but I do not believe that. I cannot. Even if I thought we should have signed him, the media circus has made that view one which is now completely against what's best of the club. I now cannot believe this is still going on.
  4. You were paying to keep him somewhere he didn't want to be rather than his dream job. More than a small difference
  5. Finding the player of the month for december will be a challenge in fairness!!!
  6. Take away what he has done, or whether he is guilty or not. (Which some refute in spite of him being found guilty) From a PR point, from a fans vs fans infighting point. From a media circus point - HE CANNOT SIGN. Then when you add the rest in.... It baffles me that sone still want him.
  7. Where is Barry? He was so keen to have his lies (sorry opinions) all over the BBC website a few weeks ago when it had sod all to do with him. Now it does, he is silent.
  8. The press can quote this: Our fans representitive did an article with the BBC a few weeks ago, stating that it was important to "consult the fans" before signing Evans. Well we have not been consulted. No one I know has been. As a season ticket holder of 25 years, I'm considering not going again. I am not sure what I'll be doing.
  9. It will be very interesting to see how many are there next week. I'm not sure what I'll be doing
  10. If under 1000 home fans were there next saturday, the club would listen.
  11. I thought it was important to gauge fan reaction?! Or could the phrase "full of :censored:" be used to discribe this piece by the fans representitive? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29629832
  12. He is in intensive care. Hopefully he makes a full recovery http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2884045/Clarke-Carlisle-fighting-life-hospital-hit-lorry-A64.html
  13. Sam Simon (Simpsons Co-Creator, 59) - CAPTAIN Pele (Viagra user, 74) Joost van der Westhuizen (SA Rugby player, 43) Paul Gascoigne (Geordie, 47) Glen Campbell (Singer, 78) George Bush Snr (Former leader of the "free" world, 90) Muhammed Ali (The greatest, 72) Clarke Carlisle (Footballer, 35) Clive James (Talkshow host, 75) Michael Schumacher (Driver, 45) Spartacus - February 19th
  14. Yeah I did, but there will be plenty agreeing with it.
  15. Normally, I wouldn't be jumping to that conclusion now. The end of his interview was worrying though. Im not saying its lost, misplaced, but not lost. If we get slapped on Boxing Day (thats IF) then I think it will have gone
  16. The first thing I thought was "when is he gunna stop for breath?" He talked for 4mins 56 seconds without stopping. He obviously didn't rehearse it, so to me it was just nervous ramblings. Exactly the kind of reason why people like Ferguson and Mourinho don't do interviews after some results. I can't judge til he has had time to assess things properly, but in my opinion the signs from that interview were not good. The bit about "I asked them if they wanted to say get something off their chest..." means something has happened.
