  1. As a limited company, will our records be made public, so finding out what we earned from the transfer wont be hard? (I don't know, it is a question for those who do)
  2. Has anyone heard how the pitch is? Did it freeze badly? Snow?
  3. Q1. No one knows Q2. No one knows So.. why won't I contribute to "crowdfunding"?
  4. Chris Moore did a seat sale / sponsor a seat. There was a scoreboard fund set up when TTA arrived. I presume that went somewhere.....?
  5. We didn't lose to Colchester, but otherwise I agree. Unless something changes, whether its management or a few players in - we will go down. So far as it stands the best chance is Forte coming back and hitting form.
  6. 18 points from Johnson's last 16 league games. Hardly promotion form from a 1/3 of a season. Yes, better than this season. No one is denying that though.
  7. At 2:50 on entering the ground Me - "What score are you going for?" Dad - "If we don't win we are in trouble, so I say 1-0. I will be able to handle it unless we are ripped off or the keeper punches one in his own net" How did he know?
  8. Clive James Stuart Hall Michael Schumacher (captain) Harper Lee Helmut Kohl George Bush Snr Charlie Sheen Jimmy Greaves Joost Van Der Westhuizen Ian Brady KD - 5th February
  9. The kit is the first one I have "identified" with in a long time.
  10. That last night needs laying at Dunn's door. God awful man management. Dunn's first action when he was appointed was to drop Coleman, who hadn't start as well as he ended last year, but was doing ok. Cornell was brought in. He wasn't convincing, but started playing ok. Including 1 man of the match home performance. A few dodgy moments, but generally ok. He is then was dropped after making a slight mistake vs Burton when he should have done better for the goal.. We then bring Coleman again (much the better keeper). Dropped after 1 mistake... To replace him with a keeper who's confidence is shot to :censored: for being dropped previously... Last night is the result. Neither Coleman or Cornell had done enough to be dropped previously. It's no wonder Cornell was rooted to his line. No confidence. Frightened to make a mistake. He knows the manager has no faith in him.... Now Coleman knows the same. Cornell shouldn't have been in the side earlier in the season, but Dunn's chopping and changing has really knackered this one for me.
  11. 4 home wins since October 2014. That is our biggest problem
  12. We had what.. 4 months of relative "success" under Johnson? We had more than that under Dickov. We were also battered beyond belief by Yeovil and MK too. Hill had a 3 years, a promotion and their highest league position before he went to Barnsley. It isn't comparable.
  13. I said similar recently, but not a relegation. I relegation would lead to a few years of stagnating at that level and the same happening. Would I take administration, the inevitable relegation and people banding together? Having some fire in the belly... Probably.
  14. Fair point on caring if I'm there or not. Does he know what he is doing? Relegation Zoned Barnsley fans would disagree. My reason for not going wouldn't be his managerial skill or lack of. His morals, the fact he owes me £100 for shelling out on orient whilst he is having a job interview. He can do one.
  15. Wilst he has taken a team into that same drop zone, below ourselves. If he comes back, I'm out.
  16. 9 months on and people are still arguing about this.... and people think we should have even entertained it. Regardless of anything else, the damage the whole scenario has done and would have done if we went through with it, could never have been worth it. On the monday morning when there was a media scrum outside Boundary Park and we were the lead story on Sky News, it should have been aborted. As a club we are not big enough to handle it. Man United, Real Madrid, Chelsea etc can do. They have trained media advisors, what do we have? Barry and the fleece of due dilligence. To attempt to sign him is one thing, but to then drag us through it for days is unforgivable. They were not acting in the best interests of Oldham Athletic. It was a mad crusade.
  17. Set up to fail fromm the second Dunn was approached. The board have successfully managed to fracture the fans further after Ched-gate. No doubt Due Dilligence was conducted at all times though. An absolute shambles.
  18. I am not sure how much Mourinho would do. The sports science bits, yes. To be honest I dont knock those, but the named zones on a pitch and brain storms are :censored:. It is just sales aimed at businessmen who like that kind of crap.
  19. This says more about chairman than it does about Johnson. They are impressed with graphs, charts and powerpoint bollocks. It is a language they understand. Can you imagine Brian Clough doing that? Or Ferguson? Neither can I.
  20. Is Kelly in the spin and slide zone or Bomb alley?
  21. Yes. They have only had 1 draw here too in that time.
  22. I am convinced he doesn't want us to play negative football. Young managers copy what is happening at the top level. The top sides play with 1 up front. They keep the ball, have protection from an anchored midfield.... and score goals. Why? Because they have Aguero, Silva, De Brunye/Navas and Stirling as a front 4. That formation gives the 3 behind licence to roam. If you have Silva and the rest, they don't need to be told what to do. They have the footballing intelligence to play in the right areas and do the right thing. The 2 holding players at City know when to break. Play like that with poorer players and they stay more rigid in the formation. They dont break their lines and it leaves 1 man up front on his own. It isnt a negative formation, but we have league 1 players who cannot play with any freedom like that. You are giving them a champions league method with league 1 players. Teachers wouldn't teach a class of 12 year olds A level work would they? The teaching (tactics) are right, but with the wrong players. The premier league all employ this. That is why there have been so few home wins. It encourages counter attacking. We should go back to basics
  23. The board have made it clear they don't want to go up tonight. As it stands they are £300+ of a season ticket they will be down for 2016/17. I wont be paying my hard earned if they don't give a :censored:.
