I loved (Still do) that shirt!
Nohhhh Cliff! Red is wrong..and it looks like a Rugby shirt!
-
That Dickov eh, totally useless he is...
Did a job on us today, much like Ronnie Moore has done in the past, done his homework and didnt let us play.
Back to Poleon, to me hes the new Jermaine Johnson, the moment he has an extra second to think about it he goes to pieces not got a Football brain.
-
Hes still in great shape, see him a lot at various Cricket matches

Farewell Dame Edna!
-
His Auntie,Dame Edna, would have done a better job!

I never finished later than half 12 on a Saturday when i was a postie..
:censored: the Lapse off and you'll make kick off ;)
Believe its all changed recently Matt,I remember when half the lads would be in the bar for mid day as they had finished their rounds.Used to go from there many a time
-
Reminds me of Mark Hudson who went on to play over 100 games in the top two divisions, still playing at Hudds I beleive

Its a great feeling when "our own" prove us wrong, no need to apologise, just get behind them for the rest of the season

Sad to have to say I knew both Daves reasonably well,Dave Seville through Latics and having both gone to the same gym 30 odd years ago.We also had kids on special care at the same time and it was touching to hear Carol today talk about Dave being re-united with Joshua which has given the family some strength.
Knew Dave Casey through Latics, Cricket bands and general socialising, not to mention a lot of mutual friends as also was the case with Dave Sev.
The Barnsley win was for both of them on the night!

Won at all the South coast grounds the promotion season

We started it following the great Isle of Man tour of 1987. In truth, we were copying Stoke's 'Oooh Georgey Berry.' It didn't seem racist at the time, and it certainly wasn't intended to be. Alan Hardy even turned it into a scarf.
Spot on,all it was at the time was an adaptation of the "Oohh Gary Davies" ingle off radio one, inspired by The Kane Gangs |"Small Town Creed" which had the lyric "Oohh Papa Papa...Oohh Papa papa" in it,later was re-used as theme tune to Byker Grove.Nothing more, nothing less

Ritchie , Linighan , Irwin & Wright ludicrous bargains from Leeds.
Barrett and Warhurst for pennies off City.
Marshall from Everton .
The rot started for me when we did not buy and sell well enough .
Out when Irwin , Warhurst , Redfearn ,Holden , Marshall .....in came McDonald , Kane , Kilcline , Olney , Brennan etc.
This was the turning point, our board, nearly all stuck in their ways, where reluctant to take on new Investors and even refused to sanction loans from one director for players like David Batty.Small minded people happy with a small Club atmosphere
-
Sadly,as much as we would like every new Manager to be the new Joe Royle, we wont get the Irwin,Barrett,Warhust, Ritchie type bargains any more from big clubs. As unbelievable as it sounds all these players came here for bigger wages,"Johnny average" in City reserves will probably be on twenty times the wage our highest paid player is on.

Certainly not far off. More than a shade of Ricky Holden about him today. And like Ricky he looks like he just got out of bed ten minutes before the match. He also has the ability to be everywhere at once despite looking like the slowest man on the pitch ( including the ref) . Superb performance.
When he had the ball in the second half he gave you that feeling players like Ricky,Eyrsie,Ritchie, Stainrod,Groves...gave you,a feeling that something special is going to happen,brilliant..Worrall also very impressive!

It was never going to be pretty with that Clown back as their Manager.Must admit I was a bit worried at half time that,we didnt do enough to push for a second and I thought they might muscle us out of the game and sneak one in the second half. Still think we need a couple more players in to compete week in week out.
However, could be worse,we could have Westley as Manager,Mr.Anti-Football.

Bet I have seen him play then Chad, cheers for that.Fingers crossed for the lad
-
and from ALL!
A nice lad, half decent cricketer as well for the Town team! (Rochdale!)
What Club was he with Chad?

So we drop a player and lose 2 0 instead of 1 0 - does it matter? Cisak just looked like he needed a run of games however I do prefer Bouzanis. The internal matter could be that Bouzanis has told them he is going so why not play Cisak.

Why would Bouzanis say he is going?

Bit like when Aussie Cricketer Mark Taylor drew level with Don Bradmans record score for an Aussie then retired not out instead of passing it to break the record

Anyone who went to Liverpool away in the 76/77 season will remember he had a blinder that day ,including a mazy dribble round 3 internationals they had at the time,in fact,he got a standing ovation from the Kop as he came off.
The game was shown on Granada the day after but since then I have never seen it. Would be great to watch before the Cup tie comes round, does anybody know how we could get hold of a copy or at least could get Granada to show the highlights?

OMG what a moron he thinks he's Alex Ferguson!
Can't belive how poor Preston were.
Still what fun did we have mocking him in the main stand.
Mr Anti-Football got his come uppance today, glad I'm not a PNE fan, dark times for them methinks

Yet Ibhre played a major roll in our excellent performance at Sheff.U?
As did Johnson.
Seems since then only half the side have been playing to their full potential, struck lucky at Spotland, only played half agame v Preson, then an ex manager and a Managers dad have done a job on us last 2 games.
