Jelousy is not the issue,its all the Teletext Reds who have appeared in the last 15 years that make most Football fans hate them,most of them have never been to OT and still wouldnt if you offered them a Freebie!

I think the way Posh are getting the Rub of the green at the moment their name is on the CC1 Trophy.

I think that most of the team need to look at this season and be very embarressed with their lack of professionalism

 

There are very few players who can look back on this season and say .. " I earned my money this season and put a full shift in week in week out "

Spot on Guys,which is why I will be thinking long and hard about renewing my Season ticket and more likely be picking my games for the first time in 35 years!

Ironically I have just started working for a company in Delph and one of my Colleagues is from Wakey,She is coming in work early on Saturday Morning but going home early in the afternoon.

I was a Sheridan inner, I usually am with most managers. I'm all for giving people time. But there's a new feeling coming across from a lot of people that wasn't around during previous manager witch hunts.... The apathy for all things latics. People just don't seem to care any more and die hard fans are simply fed up and ready to give up.

 

The only answer I can see is to get a new manager in and a new philosophy for the club. That is to develop our one main asset - TP and the youth set up. Become a club who focus solely on blooding youngsters and scouring non-league football for unearthed talent. Much like Crewe in a way.

 

We probably wouldn't be chasing promotion straight away and I'm not sure who the right manager would be for that set up but the fans need a team they can get behind - local youngsters and players from non-league living the dream and giving their all every game rather than investing large sums of money on journeymen pros who don't inspire the fans to get behind the team.

As a Chairman of a local Amateur sports Club who have a terrific Youth set up .I totally agree with your logic,BUT, will people pay £20.00 a game to watch Youth Football?

Its hard enough getting them to pay that sort of money to watch "Third Division" Football.

My other worry is that the Big Guns will poach our talent (Think David Brown and more obviously Micah Richards) with little compensation.

if you beleive that then you must be stupid, nothing tactical whatsoever is total rubbish.

 

people give sheridan stick, rightfully or wrongfully but to say we dont do anything tactically is daft. sheridans tactics are baffling at times but at the likes of leeds leicester tranmere etc etc he got it spot on, just wish we could play these every week.

Thats why we must,must get Promotion,so we are playing sides like Leeds and Leicester every week,seems we can only raise our game when theres a decent atmosphere.

Cant think of many sides in the Championship who wouldnt fill the big section of the Rocky every week,Burnley,Preston,Wendies would near enough fill the stand when they come.

Dont know about Harsh Daz,Footballers have never been renowned for being the Brightest Buttons in the box,especially having been sheltered from the real world and having people sort out their everyday lives for them.

As your Backstreet Mancs,or Scousers whatever,think Mike Milligan,Nobby Styles,Nick Henry,Ryan Giggs,Wayne Rooney,

Paul Merson,Steve Gerrard,David Batty etc.

I think its becoming a bit obvious that,despite him being one of the most intelligent and creative players of the last 25 years (One former team mate even rated him as gifted as Gazza having played with both), he is not the most articulate of Men amd thats putting it politely.

Compare him to Ritchie,Royle and the great Jimmy Frizzell,who can still command an audience at his Golf Clubs bar, and he is not in the same League.he must have been blessed at birth with his Football talent, Apart from that he is just your average backstreet Manc!

It's amazing how 90 mins of football can change the complexion of not only this season, but seasons to come. If the same poll was put up 24 hours ago it wouldn't be half as damning...

 

I'm not knocking the poll by the way, just highlighting that timing of polls straight after games like that will be driven by emotion for the first 2 or 3 hours after it.

Its Happening too much this last few years,seems like we are caught in a viscous Circle i.e. The players seem to have too many off days when there is no atmosphere yet if we dont go up and play well supported sides every week then we are always going to play half the season against sided with crap followings.

Also had enough of stupidly scheduled night matches from November to February,even a mild british winter evening aint nice in this neck of the woods.They should at least make night matches Derby games but the League come up with this pathetic excuse that its the Computers fault!

It may be fair to say that for Taylor, although I still thought he was poor. Smalley was plain garbage though - he looked like a rabbit trapped in the headlights everytime he got the ball. He's has done well recently though and I'm sure he will do better next game.....

Smalley just doesnt have a Football Brain,makes up for it with his comitment and Strength.

Lewi on the other hand,Good brain,Good Feet,just needs another Half a Stone on.

My Mate rang to check how the game was going and put the Legend on for a couple of minutes,I told him we was playing towards Chaddy second half but explained that he we havnt got the Slope now.

He said when he played it diidnt matter if he was playing downhill or not,the defenders still backed off from him!
