  1. Joe Royle loves the club- whats happened in his 2nd spell??? We all know that managers coming back dont work
  2. Jim Gannon 3/1 Mark Robins 4/1 Mickey Adams 5/1 Andy Ritchie 6/1 Paul Ince 6/1 Dave Penney 7/1 Ronnie Jepson 8/1 Steve Cotterill 10/1 John Hughes 10/1 If we employed Ritchie or Jepson id vow never to go a game again
  3. I mentioned this before i heard he got interviewed last week
  4. Jim Gannon 3/1 Mickey Adams 4/1 Dave Penney 4/1 Paul Ince 5/1 Andy Ritchie 6/1 LATEST Adams and Penney dramatically slashed
  5. I will probably end up getting one as what else will i do on a saturday but you cant expect that sales will be down on last year with this news and the fact that people no its because we have a poor budget
  6. im at a limbo as to whether to buy a season ticket as i cant be doing with another season of this
  7. The deciding factor on joe staying was the budget so this obviously means he weighed it up and realised he cant take the club forward on the budget we have. Where will this leave us next season- mid table
  8. You must be deluded, ist you rate Woldenden and now a re-call for JPK, wouldnt be suprised if we offered him a new deal
  9. Ive not seen anything to suggest i want him as manager. If i was on a trial period at work (winning no games out of 10 equivalent) and i underperformed so much (the worst run in 10 years at Latics) would i be offered the job at the end? No, i dont care about track records, the past, he can do it etc- what im thinking is what has he done to justify the job?
  10. Ive heard that Bryan Gunn will be new manager with Ian Culverhouse as his assistant
  11. What does Westlake bring to the team that players we have already got dont? Nothing waste of time me thinks we wont be showing any ambition to get out of this league signing players like him
  12. not my football club they chose to buy it of which im grateful but i can only dream of having someone like Wardle who will get us promotion exactly they are terrible players wasting money..
  13. Thats a fair point but i was only highlighting that the players that get teams out of this league arnt that dear and the return on investment in terms of transfer fees and promotion is much more valuable than the initial investment. If the TTA are serious about promotion they will have to give a decent transfer budget instead reducing it. Its a 2 way scenario though invest and get a good return i.e. promotion or cut a budget, see reductions in attendances, which they will complain about= league 1 forever
  14. They spent 260,000 on Boyd 150,000 on Maclean 100,000 on Mackail Smith- the main 3 players that have got them promotion have cost them 500,000- their wages wont be massive yet, they have won them promotion at a reasonable cost, which will be returned in revenue in the championship. Jason Scotland cost Swansea about 60,000 2 years ago he has scored them 45 goals in 2 seasons My point is we never sign these sort of players we end up with ricketts on a free, kabba, windass, constantine, ormerod on loan
  15. Im on about when they went up a couple of seasons ago... however we forked out 250k on allan smart look where he got us...
