No one is saying he is our playmaker but he keeps the ball more after winning it rather than clearing up field to oppisition. I thought Mvoto had a decent game but therewere too many hoofed balls that came to nothing. Its all well and good defending well but if we dont keep the ball how are we ever gonna score (see most of last season). I dont think missing Jarret was our only problem today but I think it would helped having him available today. Its no suprise that our best two chances of the game came from when we passed the ball around on the floor rather than long balls to the forwards.

We missed him because he brings the ball down and puts on the floor to the midfield. I thought Mvoto was either hoofing it to or past the forwards or back to Brill

Cannot believe Brill has got 3 votes, he was :censored:e. Cant kick to save his life and had two howlers that we were lucky not to concede from. Yes he made a couple of good saves but one of them he wouldnt have needed if he came out and caught the corner like he should have done.

Pretty poor today but hardly end of the world. I thought Yeovil came for a draw and got it and we fell a bit into their game of hoofball. Really missed Jarrett today, the other lad looked ok defensively but didnt look comfortable on the ball. Bit annoyed Feeney started over DJ as well and he really didnt justify his place. I will start to worry if we hit 4-5 games like that but gonna chalk that off as just a bad day at the office.

Thats just :censored:e. They have just looked at the squad lists and picked the player they have heard of or last seasons top scorer as the key man for each team.

I dont plan on applauding or booing the guy, couldnt care less about him. Im there to support oldham and have no intention to make it all about Lee Hughes.

Did well but definitely better in the middle rather than on the wing.

Very impressed tonight. I know its only a friendly but the attitude was too notch for the full game and we have players that look good with the ball. Think stephens is gonna be our best player this season, looks so comfortable on the ball. Furman worked his bollocks off tonight.

Just been to the club shop with every intention of spending £40-50 but the kit is vile. I honestly wouldnt wear it if you gave it to me for free. Who the hell at club thought it was something people would buy?

They prob just didnt get the paperwork through to the FA in time to confirm it today im sure it will go through and if not, no great loss.

Too early yet but the Flemming save was better than the Brill pen save

We did go in with a few hard tackles but the majority were fair. I dont think anyone told the Burnley fans it was a friendly, you would have thought it was a league game the reaction when they scored the second.

Yeah, he didnt really have much to deal with but looked decent, I would give him, Jones and Jarrett another game or two.

Thought Furman looked pretty decent Worthy was ok nothing more, can only see him as backup this season. I think Stephens, Jones, Furman and possibly Purdie will be ahead in the pecking order.

Liked the look of him, went a bit quiet towards the end of the half but I think it was just getting that match fitness. Great feet, I think it will be him and Stephens starting in CM at the begining of the season.

All the current players looked sharp. In the second half, Eaves, Lomax, Furman, Lewis and Brooks all played pretty well. Out of the trialists Peter Jones and Jarrett played well but the rest were pretty crap especially that Highdale. Flemming wasnt at fault for either goal and that save he pulled off was fantastic

A quick update for those not here. Played well first half, Stephens was prob our best player but lee, pav, rubes and r Jones all look Sharp. Peter Jones scored and looked lively and worked hard great through ball from Stephens to set up the goal. Completely different team playing the 2nd half.

I do still go to about half the home games per season but the main things that put me off 1. The lack of the broadway stand (dont like sitting in any of the other three stands) 2. The defensive/:censored:e football of last season (I wouldnt mind that much losing as long as we went out fighting and going at the other teams)
