Was going to say the same thing... Only a few months ago we were saying this was the best squad we've had in years. Why we can't produce on a consistent basis is anyone's guess!!

It's a good point but it also isn't going to happen untill we see players consistently playing the free flowing passing football instead of booting it aimlessley into the air... We all know they can do it (the passing bit I mean), we've seen it but at the minute it seems as rare as Halley's comet!!

I was thinking about Latics watching the Liverpool game today... Even at 5-0 down and suffering a dip in form last few games Aston Villa fans were still singing their hearts out ("we're gonna win 6-5, we love you Villa" Etc) and it struck me that we hardly ever do that when things aren't going to plan. I know yesterday was dire to put it mildly and the performances over all since early season haven't been that great but we're Oldham supporters... You'd think we'd be used to tosh more often than not after some things we've seen. Everyone is their own person and if some fans don't want to turn up until things get better that's their perogative, I will be there every home game untill the seasons end (work permitting) and if I can get the odd away game that too. It might not be pretty, in fact, it may, at times be downright soul destroying but it's football, it's Latics. It's something that will never die in most of us and all I hope is that whichever fans do turn up, let's encourage the lads as much as we can, we have 8 games left.... Lets try to enjoy them and untill it becomes mathmatically impossible never say never!!

To be fair... They passed it better than us yesterday! The pitch has always been pretty shoddy come the end of the season at Boundary Park as I was reminded watching my Great escape video the other day! lol

Being as it is still mathematically possible I think that, yes, you will find it is still possible to go up and if the current team played with a 10th of the passion and pride that the 1990/91 team did we would not be scrapping to get into the top 6 at this stage of the season!!

Here here... I am overjoyed at Royle's return but no one should forget the ten years Shez gave this club. At the end of the day he never seperated the coach and manager role and it cost him. I am sure he will learn and go on to succeed. I am sad it won't be with Oldham but really wish him all the best!! I actually E mailed Alan Hardy yesterday to pass on my wishes!! Now here's to the next nine games and let's see Big Joe's barmy army storm into the playoffs and give Leeds the thrashing we deserve to give them in the final!!!

No... If he was "bang to rights" he would have been charged there and then. The fact he has been bailed would suggest that he blew over the limit of 35 but below 50 meaning he has the option of blood if he chooses. He obviously did and has been bailed for the results, usually about 6 weeks

Just wanted to say, that as pleased as I am with the team and the result. I was also very impressed with our physio... He was so up for it, loads of enthusiam and had genuine passion. Should have seen the mouthfull he was giving the fourth official over how long it was taking the ref to let our players come back on after treatment. Great to see that everyone at the club seems so fired up for this season!

We got £250,000 for Fitz Hall, I remember because I was disgusted that Moore was offlaoding him so cheaply. I dont think we have any sell on clause with Armstrong considering players were being sold to balance the books immediatley and no one was thinking of the future... Especially since most didn't think we had one with that t**ser Moore!!

I think it's a telling sign we have all been sat at our PC's too long waiting for the new signing to be revealed when the conversation turns to Gordon Lawton on webcam in the stlye of Leslie Grantham.... *shivers*!!

We as fans may know nothing or little about him, but I would like to think that Shez and TW have done their homework and if the signing is O Grady then they must see something in him and TTA must concur, if he signs then untill I see evidence to prove otherwise then he has my backing.

I was in Manchester and saw first hand the mindless violence by some thugs (refuse to call them fans). Yet I spoke to large numbers of real football fans before and after the game, great people who were just as disgusted at those that tore Manchester up and attacked the police as much as the rest of us!

The stadium's great can't deny that but when I went the atmosphere was flat as anything!! Granted though, they were playing Bolton!! (I was offered a Premiership game for free)!

A few days away with the Mrs to make up for the 9 months of neglect and to allow her time as "number 1" priority over Latics! lol. Then spending everyday logging onto the official website hoping that we get more than that Fu****g tractor picture that we had last year!!
