  1. You are probably right....have to sit here with the fridge open...
  2. Most Impressed that Boundary Park was on Channel 10 news and Sports tonight here in Oz over the big freeze....Even in 35 deg heat, I felt extremely cold watching them brush the snow away.... I miss that, I really do...
  3. An Excellent player indeed, but nowhere near as good as Alan Young....besides, I cannot forgive the miss at Wembley....EVER GORAM IRWIN JOBSON FUTCHER WHITTLE WARD BLAIR SHERIDAN GROVES RITCHIE YOUNG SUBS RHODES WARHURST PALMER STAINROD
  4. Get well soon Paul. Top bloke. From all on the other side of the world
  5. Well, he will never score for Aston Villa this season, so I guess there's some truth in the statement.....
  6. Never mind all this rubbish, I just want to know if Boycott will be eligible to play.I mean, will he get clearance in time for the Carlisle game...being a Yorkshireman and all....
  7. WTF would I do with my number plate????? It may look like Monopoly money, but it comes out of my pocket and I aint forking out another 500 bucks to have a plate with FAFC on it. Funny as F*ck Club doesn't quite cut it!!
  8. Singe, will you please add Brisbane to "Outer Oldham". I feel like I have been sent to Coventry...
  9. Brisbane 4030. Have held a season ticket alone since I could afford it in 1977. Gets a bit tight forking out $550 for Latics and $480 for the Lions every year....but hey I bleed the clubs colours !!! Lived in Oldham, Royton, Chadderton and Fort Lauderdale !!!
  10. I was also at the game, although I wore my Blue and Gold Shirt....also supporting GCU. The only team in Brissie is the Lions. I wear a half Latics, half Lions shirt to every game at the Gabba. When Fitzroy Lions and Brisbane Bears merged, they put a BBFFC logo on the back of the shirt as a mark of respect to the merger. I now have OABBFFC. If it was Crazy8's on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, then it was my scarf!!! It has Roger Palmer and Andy Ritchies signatures on it. I used to live in Pompano Beach and that was my haunt.
  11. If Craig Mills (from Temple Summerville), actually got some paint on the stadium instead of having a bath in the stuff, it would have cost a lot less than £427,000 to maintain BP !!! http://www.oldham-chronicle.co.uk/news-fea.../all-spruced-up
  12. Unless there is a dramatic U-turn and Latics come up with a Groundshare scheme with the Lions at the Gabba, it would make no difference to me !!! Still, it would be a wiser investment ferrying 7000 Latics fans over to Brisbane every other week and you would still get change out of 20 million !!! Providing I get a DVD of the game/goals every week, I couldnt care less where they play. WE ARE OLDHAM ATHLETIC FFS. I am trying to get back for one of the BP Games this coming season and will look forward to visiting NBP in the not too distant future....
  13. according to another of the rarely wrong's main sources....... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keigan_Parker http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oldham_Athlet...irst-team_squad
  14. Better still, The Gabba. That way, I can have my ashes scattered at both grounds in one !!! Fort Knox Fort Worth Ice Station Zebra The Ice House The Alamo....love that one Lighter than the Stadium of Light
  15. Our Back Yard Premier Park The Playing Fields Lancy Vaults Cooksey Cauldron The Onion Bag Parcs de jouer Nou Park Personally, I love New BP Stadio Campiones
  16. .....Under Mowbray. Strachan made no secret of the fact that he signed players a la Fergie...ie to stop them scoring against Celtic !!!! And Mowbray's answer to the question on whether he has a future at Celtic, was an emphatic Yes. I suppose it all comes down to the shoe fitting. It is obvious that Mowbray likes him, so I reckon he will get his chance. There is a difference between being injured and being lazy....Samaras is lazy, which is why he was on the bench for most of the year. Whatever the outcome, I sincerely hopes that he makes a good fist of his chances....however limited they may be. It is always good to see ex-Latics do well at other clubs.
  17. I went to the game just to see Killen. Granted, it was only the Roar....Below half way Championship level at best, but his positioning and running off the ball was outstanding.....and, he actually stayed on his feet the whole game, despite Craig Moore's best efforts. His two goals capped an excellent display all round. Edit: Interesting to note that while we slate Chris's chances, COG (will he cut the mustard?) is the popular choice for MOM against the mighty Hyde.................
  18. It was very disturbing to sit on his knee in Marks's and talk about the first thing that came up. Although what he was doing in his santa outfit asking a 48 year old homophobic male to sit on his knee in July is beyond me.....
  19. I reckon a $50 bet would cure the Australian National debt......And, I will use the winnings to book my flight back to capture the event digitally........ Sean Hansford? Who's he????
