  1. Rumours Doncaster at 3pm behind closed doors. Piss take if true.
  2. I see a lot of folk talk about MM’s signings, but let’s not forget January is a notoriously harder transfer window, with clubs unwilling to offload the players in their plans unless of course your throwing cash around, which we didn’t. He’s made 3 permanent signings, one of them a low risk one in Hammond who will be on peanuts. Garner did well originally and I still think he’s a good squad member for next season. Conlon has been a disappointment, but we were all buzzing when we signed him, and he’s played EFL his entire career so there must be a player there somewhere. I don’t massively judge a manager on loan signings, especially kids as they are all a risk in terms of if they can step up to mens football, and no one knows until they actually play. Some work and some don’t, we move on quickly from Loans. We’d be crazy to get rid of him at this stage when he hasn’t had any time to assemble a squad and deliver a pre-season. If we start badly again, like we did this season, then he’ll be under pressure quickly, as was DU, but we have to let him get on with the summer plans now.
  3. Are the allowed to ask to play the game elsewhere? A few in NLS like Truro and Taunton I believe have played at Gloucester due to their pitches. They could ask to switch it to BP to give them a better chance of winning?
  4. I’ll be amazed if he’s offered any sort of deal. Massive squad issues this season and MM will surely release everyone he possibly can to try and free up wages for his own squad.
  5. He could easily step up to a bigger club, but some players thrive on being the big fish in a small pond, and their owner isn’t short of cash so he’ll be on a good whack. I think they are FT now, but reminds me a bit of Danny Rowe who stayed there a long time, because his job and his PT football wage was more than he could earn as a pro.
  6. Yeah you’re right to be fair . I’ve since seen it back in real time and slow-mo, and it’s a shocker. There were a few around me who thought the same as me in fairness, so not just me going blind!
  7. Surprised at the outrage on the Fondop red card. He’s absolutely out of control and off the ground lunging in. As for the game, horrific. As for the ref, horrific.
  8. And rightly so. In what other line of business would you charge significantly less than your direct competitors? Halifax are charging £18 in a few weeks, and the cheapest at Rochdale is £15 in the standing sections. Granted they are POTD prices, but still significantly higher than what you’d be paying next season.
  9. I have a big problem IF we do get there, which is a big if. We were originally going on holiday on the Saturday, but I realised in time and managed to change it to the Sunday. I cannot change now, and it’s all paid for. I wouldn’t even be able to watch it as I’d be in the air for the entire game. After recent weeks I doubt i’ll need to worry, but what would others do in that situation?
  10. They were definitely amongst the cheapest last season, and still will be.
  11. Just shy of £14 a game it works out at still, which I think is still reasonable. I do think the £25 pay on the day is a bit steep mind.
  12. I think we need 4 wins from 6. Ideally not losing against Halifax or Alty but draws wouldn’t be the end of the world there. We couldn’t ask for an easier end to the season either in Oxford and Wealdstone. It’s still in our hands…. Just!
  13. Would you say the same if we finished 7th with Southend less than 10 points behind us?
  14. Not sure, just passing on what I saw online, unsure why their fans would say that if they weren’t sure, although I’m not sure why our fans say a lot of things so I guess they could very much be wrong.
  15. Gateshead fielding an ineligible player according to their fans. Player given straight red at Ebbsfleet has started, but according to some of their fans it should be a 3 game ban. Unsure if they are right or not.
  16. Obviously a lot has to happen but they’ve moved the play off final date by a day to the Sunday due to strikes, which has pissed me right off as I purposely booked my holiday for that date just in case we were in the final on the Saturday.
  17. Transfer business has been a disaster since Rothwell took over, and thats not a dig at him at all. We’ve made a lot of off field improvements, but the pitch is where it’s the most important and if I were Frank i’d be asking questions as to why he’s wasted so much of his money on signings that aren’t working. I thank DR for all he did getting Rothwell on board, and he doesn’t get any pressure from me at the moment, but at the end of the day he’s in charge of the football side and he’ll eventually be held accountable if we carry on recruiting badly.
  18. We tried something different last week, and it worked pretty well, hence why he stuck with 442 today. The issue is these players are just pretty shit, and so can’t maintain any form of performance. Green is injured, but I think due back in the next week or 2.
  19. Is there really any need to call your fellow fans mugs and to tell them to get a grip? Honestly, some of the shite on here is getting tedious. Have an opinion, fine. Disagree with others, fine, but let’s leave it there eh?
  20. How the fuck did Fondop not score there? Massive massive moment that.
  21. I agree, amazed that no one really appealed for it either.
  22. Didn’t know where to put this as didn’t think it warranted a new thread but DR has confirmed we still won’t be able to offer Financing options for Season tickets next season due to previous ownership and poor credit score. A shame, as think we would have shifted a few via this option.
  23. Norwood was offside. Linesman literally put his flag up and immediately took it back down when he realised the ball hadn’t gone through to him. Poor from the linesman, who should have waited anyway, but if Hogan misses that ball and Norwood scores it wouldn’t have counted, and as bad as the officials were, Norwood was offside.
