  1. as anyone got any advice on where to park? im setting off fairly early just incase of traffic etc, and if i do get there early i dont fancy parking on the estate next to the ground for hours on end. now my thinking was to park near london bridge, does anyone know if it will be easy for me to find a car park that will be open fairly late etc, i know a few guys on here live in london so im banking on you guys for some help here lol.
  2. enjoyed reading this topic, being only 20 years of age my best games are like leeds away and everton away, some of your memories put them to shame i just wish i could have lived some of them times.

  4. yes it was a joke i was on that train and unfortunately styed on until it set off, it set off about 12.15, surprise there wasnt a full scale riot, latics fans and other people who were coming home from a night out werent happy at all, i witnessed a copper telling a 40 odd year old to f off and get a taxi for politely asking how long it was going to take. the police couldnt organise a piss up in a brewery. i witnessed numerous occasions when innocent fans were called and in some cases hit upon on, it was mainly the burnley fans but the latics fans were just as bad in some cases, did anyone see it in sinclairs before it started when the latics fans were singing and suddenly about 30 scroats from burnley came down for some, surprised it didnt kick off more then tbh. to say its a family event as someone said it was a joke tbh the fans who went just to fight need to get a grip of themselves and realise adults are there with there kids for a day out, they dont want to see it.
  5. i worked this out yesterday, 23 away games in the league and i got it to 5044 miles and thats from boundary park. leeds 34 miles huddersfield 22 miles hartlepool 115 miles walsall 88 miles charlton 218 miles norwich 205 miles southampton 236 miles exeter 250 miles gillingham 251 miles brentford 212 miles wycombe 191 miles brighton 273 miles millwall 216 miles leyton orient 217 miles colchester 237 miles tranmere 47 miles mk dons 166 miles southend 243 miles stockport 14 miles bristol rovers 178 miles yeovil 220 miles carlisle 123 miles swindon town 172 miles i got the miles off the AA route finder so i presume its pretty accurate, unless ive done it totally wrong lol. cant be bothered to work it out all again so if im wrong then its the calculator's fault, obviously.......
  6. been to 68, not too bad for a 20 year old, only been going since about 2000. other grounds been to include: new wembley, clyde, barrow, luton, wrexham, thurrock, chasetown, kettering, stalybridge. so 77 grounds in all not too bad. EDIT: just realised burton albion are now a league team.

    MOTM Vs. Carlisle

gregan for me, player of the season.
  8. it was obvious they would have chances after jones was sent off, they played us on the break, rubes and gregan defended like warriors and put there bodies on the line, blocking shots etc etc, looking at SOG you'd think we were lucky to get a point, how wrong could that be, the attitude of the players when we went to 10 men was top notch, we had some good chances and on another day could have scored 2 or 3, overall a draw was probably a fair result.
  9. i agree, the guy who got chucked out at half time, well what an absolute moron, didnt spend a second watching the game, just staring at the peterborough fans and giving them abuse. i liked sitting near the away fans at first as it was good for singing etc, but all the chavs are there now and certainly spoil the game for me. throwing things at the posh fans etc, the stewards need to chuck em all out.
  10. young player of the year - smalley player of the year - hughes goal of the season - allott at hudds by a mile.
  11. surely thats going to put a few bums on seats?
  12. bg fat joes barmy army. that should put bums on seats for saturday
  13. 3 questions i have. 1. are children allowed in the pubs, im taking my little brother whos 13? 2. which of the pubs have sky sports? i want to watch the footie before the proper game 3. this is a longshot, im pretty rubbish with directions could you tell me the postcode of any of the pubs so i can put it in my sat nav, if not no worries. cheers
  14. ok if its going to be easier to drive into leyton then i may aswell do that, thanks for that people. on another note does anyone know of any decent pubs near the stadium that show sky sports etc? if i remember rightly last year when i went i couldnt find one close to the ground.
  15. if you beleive that then you must be stupid, nothing tactical whatsoever is total rubbish. people give sheridan stick, rightfully or wrongfully but to say we dont do anything tactically is daft. sheridans tactics are baffling at times but at the likes of leeds leicester tranmere etc etc he got it spot on, just wish we could play these every week.
  16. for the forthcoming game i shall be parking in watford and getting the tube into leyton, can someone tell me if this is possible and how to do it if possible, ive never used the tube before so my knowledge is non existent. also if anyone could tell me how much this is going to cost it would be an help. if this isnt a good idea can you tell me another place to park on the outskirts with an eaiser way into leyton. the reason im doing it this way is because i really cant be bothered with the traffic in london, i want a stress free day. sorry if its in the wrong place, just thought id put it were mose people read. thanks for any help.
  17. im pretty sure thats wrong, its 7 days for the ban to come into effect.
  18. its been said before that with maher and allott in centre mid we dont offer as much going forward, neither have that creative spark or that bit of pace imo, i like the both of them there both very good players but for me we need a creative midfielder, i think with scott at lb, dj left wing, hines rb, smalley or taylor right wing then either of them 2 in the middle, it would give us pace all over midfield, i think this would work especially at home where in recent times we have been over run in midfield. thats why sheridan has said he wants a another midfielder. then when we get injuries suspensions etc we have plenty of cover to cover all the positions.
  19. we could also have either taylor and smalley as attacking midfielder, it would be good to see a bit of pace down the middle, although i think maher and allott are playing pretty well itsa been said we dont offer as much at home with these two in the same side.
  20. we seem to say this every week though, i agree he was poor but ive seen a lot worse. i just cant understand what they see to give free kicks etc, wish they would let games flow and use a bit of common sense. unfortunately the football league cant seem to find any decent referees.
  21. im going on friday at 12 noon and returning sunday at same time, costing 40 quid return, i do think its slightly over priced at that price anybody agree? dont know if it would save me any more money doing what you said!
