    Halifax are definitely our bogie team but had a better game plan,closed our play down with marking tight and had the better in midfield. Tactics were better. Their first was a belter but no one was stopping the player. After the Lord Mayor's show and typical Latics but again being typical Latics could see us win on Saturday.

    They got 6 points off us last season.Time now to reverse that. Glad we are now playing 442 with overlapping fullbacks and a nmidfield that pushes forward

    I'm looking forward to seeing what their travelling fan who does match reports has to say. He looks like he is Ken Dodds love child with a ginger mop head,thick glasses and buck teeth and in their lingo looks a gurt lummox.

    Yes,I've heard that as well.What a man.Loved his speech today and always willing to have photos taken with our fans.His money and backing will always be remembered ,appreciated and the funds he has given in contributing to the signing if all these top players.So glad we are playing the 442 .

    Wow.. that was more like a latics side used to play. Super goals especially Dickensons and Tollitts.Glad Tollitt is back in since he can score some belters..Midfield tackled and was positive.Defence sound and our passing was excellent.Hopefully we can do the same against Halifax which will make it a cracker of a game at Chesterfield.

    Seems more and more fans are seeing the light with this guy in charge.We all want success for our club and wins starting today .

    Just been on their forum and full of it.Said have a better manager and fast strikers..Just hope our weaknesses aren't exploited since I don't want to see their match video maker with his mop head and buck teeth gloat.Letshope he looks like he did last time he was here.

    Slawk was same as me 70 and I think it was complications with diabetes. His funeral is at the crem at 230 Thursday the 17th .Lee has said it would be nice if anyone who knew him went.Im sure it will be well attended and I'm taking my old tangerine blue and white scarf with me

    Getting tickets Tuesday. Seems they are buying some good players.Should be a good test as to who are wiser in their player selection or more importantly who can get the best out of their signings

    I always knew Latics since I started following them in 1970 as playing 442 with exciting wingers and top strikers.

    Very sad news to hear a former Chaddy Ender and Glodwick has died. My respects to his son Lee.I will always hold fond memories of those halcien days. Some may have known him as Slowk.Small in build but could fight like .....

    Well said Littlemoor Lad. Many fans spend a lot of hard earned money supporting Latics and even when we loose I'm not disheartened IF we have done our best .

    I've never been a fan of Unsworth and probably never will unless he gets us in the playoffs with the money and backing which Sheridan never had. I will still give him until October to get us in the top 7 but if not I'd do my best to get Pete Wild off Barrow who loves our club with the passion which the arrogant Unsworth lacks.

    Once again...massive thanks to Frank Rothwell for his help and support. We must have the best set of strikers and a team with lots of talented players..It will still be a tough season but there is definitely a buzz about the place and confidence in getting promotion. No excuses now for anything less than a play off spot.
