lomax defo keeps his place, eardley was away on internationals, lomax played, team won and he did nothing wrong so our ahem 'international' doesnt deserve to come back in, not as if hes been playing brilliant recently. Until lomax plays poorly i dont expect to see him starting

ogrady has been poor since pre season. Looks the part in terms of build and pace but when he gets the ball he doesnt seem to know what to do with it and wont take people on. His decision making has been poor as well, twice ve huddersfield a cross would have set someone up, instead he chose to blast it over and wide. Looked poor at stockport as well. Needs goals and to improve his all round play to get in the team at the moment, davies looked good on saturday and has been doing well in the reserves and isnt far off a goal to set him off again, so a fully correct move by shez.

Any chance of getting an interview with one of the coaching staff or directors to explain the signing of ormerod? i.e. cover for injuries/people out on loan. thanks.

lomax deserves his chance at rb and had a blinder today according to the comentary, didnt hear him misplace a pass or make a mistake once. He goes forward same as eardley but has far better distribution. Eardley needs a break anyway to try and get his head right and fight for his place, his performance at stockport smacked of arrogance and 'im off to wales next week, cant be arsed tonight' You say dont change a winning team, well no way is Byrne keeping Gregan out next week, so other than that Lomax deserves his place, eardley cant come straight back in just cos hes been swanning off with wales all week.

first 2 goals were completely liddell and eardleys fault, we do it all the time, give the wingers loads of time and space to have the ball and cross it in. Eardleys main role as rb is to stop crosses coming in, he couldnt be bothered to even put a foot in never mind a block to stop the cross, him and liddell casually jogged out to their left winger. Yes poor marking in the centre but by rights they probably werent expecting the cross to come in. Its the same on the left side though as well, wingers play it back to the fullback to cross and taylor is 2 seconds too slow in closing down, harrying and winning it back. This is the one major downfall of the team for me - when the oppo have the ball in their half or are casually knocking it about, we never show enough urgency to win it back. If we upped the workrate we would have beaten stockport but unfortunately it was clear only one team wanted to truely win the game, or at least they showed more grit and determination than we did. May seem like a rant but every week we have to be looking to improve, hence always looking at the negative side of performances, which is what most latics fans tend to do which is then seen as being a 'moan' when it is simply looking at bad points and trying to perfect the team performance by hopefully eradicating errors.
