  1. Warrington is not in Wyre though - Fleetwood and Poulton-le-Fylde are but it's a fair trek to Warrington from there.
  2. Both playing for Gretna means they were probably introduced at some point.
  3. Correct - he was sensational that night - the goal you refer to followed a run that began on the halfway line too - down the touchline, cut in and hammered past the keeper from about a foot shy of the goal line.
  4. Looks like the rumours may be true - they appear to have to have done a "Moore" on Chadderton.
  5. Never forget a few towering headers - always gave everything - if he shows as much fight against this he's in with a shout. All the best Ernie.
  6. His sister used to be in a band didn't she - used to play the Weavers on Huddy rd on a Tuesday night years ago - agree that tidiness is evident though.
  7. I used to work in Sale when Ro(d)ger was a tic and he used to be hanging around the train station fairly regularly in the mornings waiting for a lift to training. I also spent a large portion of one Saturday night many moons ago talking to the great man in The Greaves. As many have said, a quiet but likeable bloke.
  8. He used to get his hair cut in the village barbers in Lees too. The owner there told me the (probably apocryphal) story of scholes going into one of the estate agents in Lees in his early 20's and in a track suit asking if he could arrange a viewing of probably the most expensive house they were flogging. Said estate agent was apparently not interested in football and thought he was taking the p**s - the almost definitely not true part of this story being that when he'd been to look he whipped his cheque book out to pay for it.
  9. His passing vision? Take it none of them saw his pass for Carrick's goal then - actually they probably didn't - most of them would be on the way back to London by then
  10. I must need the optician, I thought it was Gary Mac hit the bar.
  11. Ah, different one then. Both blond and gorgeous though - quite a coincidence.
  12. Karen (if the same one) married my mate Phil Lent - a dirty red. Got 2 lads both mad on football but showing a similar persuasion to the dark side. Encouraging to hear of a visit to BP.
  13. Oy Chad, KB is married to my mate! Also had happy times in Dreamers Friday and Monty's Saturday - great music on Fridays - dodgy women on saturdays - happy times!
  14. Samaras has signed for Celtic pushing killen further down the pecking order - think he's on his way back?
  15. Blake ain't keeping him out now though is he, seeing as he's gone. He played against Pompey on Sat.
  16. By Hardy on BBC website. No agreement yet. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...tic/7214946.stm
  17. But, if (and i know it's a big if) we'd signed somebody and won on Saturday, even someone on 10 grand a week for 3 months (£130k) given the draw 'udders have got he'd effectively have been making us money!
  18. They weren't cup tied according to the Chron Dan. He's not so bad thanks mate, speech isn't what it was but he can still shout (albeit incoherently) as i found out Saturday!
  19. Not the brightest PR move in my book esp. if 'Udders get drawn at Old trafford in about 2 mins.
  20. He scored a 30 yarder in the last minute for a 1-0 win at Blackburn once - that alone qualifies him for legend status. Jimmy Frizz hit the nail on the head when he died and was clearly devestated when he said "The game of football is ill-equipped to suffer the loss of Alan Groves." Never a truer word.
