    I don't know about Stams off the field antics but I think he's a quality bloke. Shortly after he left latics for Yeovil I sent him a facebook message, me a complete stranger, and he replied with a thank you and all the best for my future. A nice touch I thought!

    I just read your 2nd line It is pretty difficult to get up quickly when you have just dived full length for a penalty.

    Nope the 2nd was just half-arsed defending by Hazell and a cool finish by COG. Nothing Brill could have done!

    At the end of the day I want a Keeper who is A/ A steady type and you know what you get from him and the players have confidence but more importantly B/ Catches balls from crosses. So important in my opinion regardless of how many wonderful saves he may or may not make.

    I've never really believed in squad rotation but we may need to in this period - maybe even give smalley a game

    That is what we face between the 1st of January and the 5th of February, if of course all games go ahead . That's a big ask for any team! Hope the boys are up to the challenge because the next 5 weeks is the time to earn their wages

    Teachers getting to school was never an issue when I was at school so I don't see why it is an issue now. I work in a hospital but I'm still expected to get into work. I may be slightly late but i'll get there nevertheless!

    I totally agree - and it's not just football - schools are just as bad! WHen I was a boy, some 17 years ago now, I had to plough my way through the snow. It was expected! It's time for the UK to man up and prepare better for this type of weather, which if we are honest is becoming the norm rather than the abnormal.

    Haha I'll never make a prediction again. Seriously the snow had melted closeby to colchester when I left on the 23rd.

    I think the Colchester game will be on. How can I be so sure I hear you ask. Well I work in Southend, which is relatively close to Colchester, and when I left on Thurday evening to come home the snow had all but melted. Looking good in my opinion and luckily for me I'll be driving back to Southend on Tuesday to catch the game on the way home. here's to 3 points in the bag come Tuesday

    Wait until half the teams in the leagues go bankrupt - then instead of replacing them - less teams equals less games making the time available for a winters break.

    Hope not. However, if the cold snap continues perhaps the Football league will have to look at extending the football league season?
