Seems to me that when we play average teams we struggle. We don't look motivated for the battle yet when we play the bigger teams we always step up to the plate. I don't think any manager in league 1 needs to motivate his players when they are playing teams like Leeds, Forest, Leicester etc but the manager needs to get them going agains gash teams like Swindon and Stockport. I don't think Shez has shown us that he has the skills to get the players up for the smaller games. We all know they will be back on it on Tuesday as we are playing one of the best teams in the league. Also Lomax at left back, Eardley at right back put us to the top - if it wasn't broke, why fix it?

Davies had a decent game IMO. Tried hard (which might not have been the case this season) and just looks like he needs to get his match sharpness back. I would personally send Lewis out on loan with a 24 recall clause. That way should Hughes be struggling then we can get him back asap.

He's right we have been :censored: all season until these guys signed. No way would we be near the top had Jones not played against Stockport and Hereford. As for Ormerod he will be a massive loss (for christ sake he's only just signed!) his 0 goals and 0 appearances have really impacted on our great start.

Eh? He bagged 13 last year while missing quite a few games, he only played 31 out of 46 league games. At 23 I'm sure he will be capable of scoring 20 goals in a good side.

Can't believe people are questioning the signing. Look Omerod is fit and raring to go, trying to impress us and Preston and is also a very good player. O'Grady couldn't score in The Georgian, Lewis isn't a goal machine more of a supplier, Davies isn't fit/on form and Hughes has a dodgy groin. Oh and Wolfy couldn't catch at Springhead. All in all makes sense to me. We are trying to get out of this division aren't we?

I think 'I might get battered if I celebrate a goal' would have crossed your mind at some point. I think the main point when you bought them would be if we score don't say anything. To jump up and celebrate is just plain stupid. The attack was OTT but as you have said you have seen trouble many times so why would your imagination stop you from thinking 'if we go one up and I celebrate most of the people in here will want to give me a shoeing'

People who bought tickets in the main home stand and were willing to celebrate if Latics score were probably wondering, 'whats the worst that will happen?' Well that was near the top of the list. I bet they have learned their lesson and will buy Latics World instead. The reaction by the County fans was OTT however if they had kept their mouths shut when we scored or not gone in there at all then they would have been ok. To be fair they saw the goal and didn't have to sit through the garbage we served up 2nd half so not all bad.

If gregan will be ok for League 1 but not for the Championship how can we plan for next year already? I would be looking at letting Stam go if he can't get back 100% fit and stay that way for the season. I don't agree that players are fitter in the championship, not sure why that would be.

Are we going to have this all season? They put the bigger teams on more as they will attract more viewers. We only get crowds of 5000 so I don't think we would have much pull viewing wise. Leicester and Leeds have more fans so get more coverage, please get over it. Also John Salako giving us praise on Sky TV does not put any more pressure on our players. We are top of the league, some has been commenting on our team makes no difference whatsoever. Do you think the players sit around discussing Big League Weekend?

They'd sell for 2mill and if its a club with that size of budget then Taylor would be mad to stay. Bank 1.5mill and spend 500k on Rowe at Stockport or the guy from Stoke, sorted. It won't happen, when do we ever get an over inflated fee for a player?

Saw him in Lees and mentioned the bet I have on him for top scorer. He said don't worry he's got himself at 50/1 and will be making sure he's fit for the rest of the season. Top bloke as well. Stopped with us for about 10 mins talking nonsense even though he had no clue who we were.
