  1. The current side has Collingwood in there to bowl, i feel Bopara is a better batter and also a better bowler. Was just copying the current set up. If you wanted another bowler I would have gone for Anderson, Jones or Bresnan with Prior behind the sticks. Broad's bowling isn't good enough yet (it will be). Just had a look he takes 15 overs to get a wicket and averages them at 50 runs, that is back up bowler stats not frontline paceman.
  2. Fred's not a number 6 at the moment and Broads is averaging 50 with the ball in tests I believe. KP can't be skipper as he has enough on his plate being our only world class player. Strauss © Cook Bell Pietersen Bopara Shah Flintoff Foster Sidebottom Harmison Panesar
  3. We'd only get 'big money' for Eardley or Davies and I reckon Eardley would be easier to cover. Taylor is ok but I would be gutted if we sold Deano on the cheap. I'd sell Hughes if the price was high, 31 and not certain to be here after this season.
  4. I think 'he has to play' he means he must be a first team player. Stevens, Fleming, Whittaker (probably) and O'Grady (again probably) are new players who will be squad players pushing their way into the first team (like Smalley) and are not certain to start the season. I think SC will want Shez to be convinced that he is good enough to be a first team regular like Allott, Eardley, Davies etc when the season starts. I doubt he will have to play every week even if Shez wants to change system or he dips in form.
  5. Why has it not been mentioned before that we are trying to sign a left footed player? You'd think someone might have mentioned it before
  6. If they do score there will be a little bit of me wanting him to score (as there was last year) just to stick it to the dregs who sit at the front of the chaddy
  7. When did I say you were gay? Your comment was gay, very cheery indeed your certainly not a 'boo boy' He was saying Stam was prone to mistakes last season and Gregan is better, all true.
  8. Some by the name of Nesbitt et al (as your name is Razza I will presume you don't know that means 'and others') were suggesting that Gregan was slow gash and Stam great (not a direct quote), hence the Stam is quite gash and Gregan is far better type messages. Doesn't make him a boo boy because he isn't blind to the fact that Stam is not as good as Gregan.
  9. Must be a slow day if your posting Franny 'comedy bypass' Ward's jokes
  10. I have just smoked off Chris Taylor's dad's window cleaner. Whilst he finished himself off he assured me neither will be leaving, true story.
  11. Gregan has always lacked pace but he reads the game quicker than anyone in this league. People like Bruce, Tony Adams and Sean Garnett (joke) were lacking in pace and they did ok. If it was all about being quicker than the centre backs then Wayne Andrews and Jermaine Johnson would be the best strikers in the world. We will see if our quick striker, Davies, can get the better off someone like Chris Lucketti at Huddersfield, who despite being slower than a wheelie bin will like Gregan he will be one of the class acts at the back this season.
  12. Isn't that what happened to Gary Mac 9/10 games?
  13. Name: Peter File Age: Young enough What got you hooked? The Blue Crew Your team Qs. Best player: Kenny Cooper Team to beat: Heyside Angels Your manager, in a word: Dingle Predictions. Who's going up? Peter File And down? Peter File
  14. What? He missed a cross in the first friendly of the season whilst playing with players he'd never played with before? What a , send him back to Scotland he is clearly rubbish and will never make it. Bring back Pogs he could catch, sometimes.
  15. Arshavin is only a year younger than Ronaldinho
  16. What a tool. Typical Oldhamer and one of the reasons why we are in league one with tiny crowds. Why support your local team when you can watch a game on TV? If you can be bothered to watch it on the box why not go down, watch the match in the flesh (all ways better) and give some money to two local charities?
  17. You only doubt we would be getting more than 5 figures? I reckon if we go up we could go close to 100,000 and the magic 6 figures
  18. Not when some got season tickets for wiping down seats a few seasons ago
  19. He might be but he did stick up for us and came onto the pitch to give a speech and I am sure his weight helped with our planning permission battle, doesn't sound like a knobhead to me. You however sound like another moron having a go at a local politician but without the brains to back up your statements, he has never (in my knowledge) claimed to be a latics fan, he did stand up for the club when we wanted planning permission when others wouldn't - top man.
  20. No need all Oldham fans are in a league together as well as the national one
