Oh and one more point. In 1966 the 3rd highest goalscoring Englishman at international level of all time, with the most prolific scoring record for club and country, didn't recieve a World Cup Medal because there was no subs in them days. It was only until recently, a mere 43 years later, that Jimmy Greaves got his World Cup winners medal. Should he have waited so long to have colleceted his medal?
not before time,,,though i think he looked a bit embarrassed receiving it

carl valantine for me

remember him scoring 2 crackers against bolton 2-2 boxing day i think

Some interesting stuff about his early career with Mickey Quinn at Latics. Superb player for us, glad he's got his life back on track

its also good to know the players are staying fit...who knows this season the players might be taking it seriously

Have you noticed the best of the crop going elsewhere yet? If we've still not signed anyone in two months, then get anxious. For now, just kick back, relax and enjoy the summer.
EDIT: One step ahead of ya, Pete
i will try.....in the meantime i think i will pop down to the training pitch to make up enough for a 5 a side game....
-
It's the beginning of June. Stop being so impatient.
im anxious...its not one or two players we need,,,,its 5 or 6
dont want the best of the crop to go elsewhere do we

do i really want to support man u when i can come to bp,,,,sit anywere i want and get a pie at half the price?

Living just north of Reading means that for me it looks like:
Probables: Wycombe, Brentford, Swindon, Bristol Rovers, Exeter, Yeovil, Southampton, Brighton, MK Dons
Possibles:- Charlton, Millwall(?), Orient, Southend, Colchester, Norwich, Walsall, Shrewsbury/Gillingham
Maybe not:- Leeds, Huddersfield, Stockport, Carlisle, Tranmere, Hartlepool, Scunthorpe(?)
I want to add Leeds and Huddersfield to my probables - so I'll probably need to trade off one or two of the possibles to keep the peace with the missus and kids
Oh and then there's the home games...
wow.....looks like you southerners might be flying the flag for us boys next season at the away games
-
i would have thought hes been there long enough now to be breaking into the first team..
maybe with pne failing to gain promotion again, the manager might be looking at changing a few things..
maybe this might be his big chance
-
is this to be believed?

You seen the southern trips next year
Question is....... which ones going to be Tuesday night,
hope its not the southampton game
last time we went there for a midweek game,,hundreds didnt get in..

-
can you buy season tickets for british rail?
might be a cheaper option if going to all away games
-

Heard a rumour - mate works for a long time sponsor within the club - that these two are on Penney's radar as potental signings.
Anyone any views positive/negative on this?
For me Holt would fit the bill nicely for Left back and I wouldn't be against Hughes coming back.
Same guy reckons that Abbott is more likely to sign for Huddersfield than us but that may in turn lead to us signing Jevons.
dear god nnnnnoooooooooooooo
-
im exhausted with all this------its driving me round the bend
next season we will see a mini revival at the club,,all the players will be on focus
there will be a discovery of new talent in the club
with an injection of new blood coming from all over the galaxy
weve got rid of the dip sticks now
so lets voom voom voom

one of the best defenders we've had in the last 5 years.
