  1. The rugby should try and sort out their differences with Ashton. It was brilliant when they played there. Not too farand a proper atmosphere not seen since they left Sheddings.
  2. Yes, yes, yes, yes. Why Wrexham, Cardiff and Swansea and not Celtic and Rangers. Would kick the Prem up the jacksie and who knows, in ten years we might have a Big Six instead of a Big Four..
  3. £13 to watch the return of Tierney and Vernon?!! Where do I sign?!!
  4. Hopefully the shoddy state of Super League will not be exposed again. Fingers crossed for a tight one. I'd take that.
  5. The Saints look awesome. But there's always one team that stands out during the regular season and then falls short in the playoffs (a la New England 2007) so I'd be wary about that. I can't understand what's going on with the Giants. It's a strange one. Still, lots of football to be played..
  6. The Giants come up against another decent team.. Cowboys looking good for the East.
  7. http://www.thesun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/n...rs-sacking.html
  8. Did Latics not appear in the first floodlit FA Cup game on the telly?
  9. I thought it was a great game ;) The Patriots looked slick and like things are coming together, admittedly against poor opposition. That Brady could throw 2 INTs and still cruise to victory spoke volumes about the Bucs. A shame really 'cos a one-sided game in any sport isn't brilliant to see. But not many people left before the end and it was a good atmosphere, despite everyone who was not a Pats fan cheering for the Bucs. From a press point of view it was a revelation. Locker room after the game and interviews with Brady, Belichick and Welker. No PR men there to veto questions and no time limit. They even threw us what was left of the team's post match meal on the way out. A refreshing change.
  10. Oh come on. Manning threw that pass with his eyes shut and it was a fluke the fella came down with it. Fair play, in that game the Giants made more plays but NE was the best team in the league that year by a mile.
  11. I particularly liked the News of the World's exclusive interview with the beach ball, who said he felt deflated.
  12. and I'm sure OAFCMIKE can tell us all what happened in the Superbowl. Yeah, the best team lost. Still sore about that scabby victory ;) 52-0. Let's hope they've saved some points for Wembley..
  13. Speaking of beating gash teams... HT: Tennessee 0-45 New England
  14. First decent team they've played this season.
  15. It's over now. Found out tonight, NY.
  16. I seem to remember Jon Hallworth copping a load of flack in a pre-season match against Bradford. There were rumours we were going to get Andy Goram back and the fans were even chanting his name. But Hallworth showed character and went onto have a cracking season and prove his critics wrong. Can't see Brill doing that, unfortunately.
  17. He didn't come for the cross for the first goal. Well, he did, but then he changed his mind. I'm sorry, but he's made his quota of blunders for the season and we're not even close to Christmas.
  18. Purdie, Holdsworth, Worthington, all hit by injuries. Abbott (who has been fantastic), set for a spell out. Bad luck or bad management?
  19. I love staying up until 1am to see my team lose in overtime.
  20. It was Knowsley Road wasn't it? Allegedly as he walked off to a torrent of abuse the ref turned and said: "You've already got one team at Wembley that weekend haven't you?"
  21. Has anyone got it? Been billed as a return to form after years in FM's shadow. Worth buying?
  22. It has been done loads, but that's still funny. Especially the line about Shaw.
