  1. Not far off the new season now. Victor Chandler odds below. C'mon the favourites!! And please God, spare Tom Brady's knee.. 2. I think it's about time they packed Oldham rugby in. All the current set up is doing is tarnish the once half decent name the club had. It's gut wrenching. Maybe one day somebody with some serious cash and serious business acumen can come in. As someone from Oldham, who grew up on the walls at 'sheddings and used to follow them home and away, I'm not even ashamed to say I don't watch them now and very rarely check their results. When you look at the amount of talent that is still produced from the area (Kyle Eastmond being the latest) it's an aboslute sacrilege we can't support a Super League club.
  3. Despite all this talk of a lower wage budget and mid-table finishes I'd say if anything our squad looks stronger than last year.
  4. I mentioned this elsewhere - I am writing something for Wednesday's M.E.N. about the new ground. I will be speaking to nearby residents in due course but would love to get the opinions of some Latics fans on board. If anyone would like to contribute could they please pm me or email: mike.keegan@men-news.co.uk with their views. I need your name, age, where you're from and what you think. Write as much as you like but I'll prob only be able to use 50 words each. Could do with your help because I want it to be balanced, not just a whinge against the club. Cheers Mike
  5. I'm so glad Onions is playing instead of Harmison.
  6. I'm doing something on this for Wednesday's M.E.N. (post embargo). I'll be speaking to various people about it, both from Failsworth and elsewhere, and thought I'd give the good folks on here the chance to air their views. If anyone wants to give me their thoughts (you'd have to give your name and be willing to have your pic taken) then contact me at: mike.keegan@men-news.co.uk or send me a PM. Cheers Mike
  7. I think they'd probably say that a third party came to them with this info and, as such, they haven't broken an embargo.
  8. Can someone tell me who the opposition on this pic are and give me a rough idea of when it was played? Cheers http://www.manchesterpressphotographer.co.uk/mw-spt/11.html

  10. If I'm not mistaken it was Ponting who was kicking off in a Sydney nightclub years ago. One of the bouncers was former Oldham rugby legend 'Tiny' Solomona. He destroyed him. Quick search and it's here: http://www.cricinfo.com/magazine/content/s...appertype=print The Bourbon and Beefsteak. My word.
  11. I'm not having his 'holier than thou' stance but it was a bit embarrassing when they came on. No need for it either.
  12. They weren't mocking Harmison when he was banging it in at their heads. Yes, he's a slapped backside but he can be lethal and it's a risk worth taking. I don't think we can take 20 Aussie wickets without him.

  14. Flintoff running in on a vital morning. What do you have? Half of Old Trafford roaring him in? No. Silence and some weirdo belting out Home and Away on a trumptet.
  15. He did alright in the West Indies a couple of years ago. However, yes, he is a wet fart but as long as he knows he's never more than five days away from his mam's cooking he's alright. And the Aussies fear him.
  16. You've got to love the ECB. This is like watching United play Liverpool in a Champions League final at the Withdean Stadium. If Steve Harmison is not picked for the next Test I give up.
  17. I'm still trying to figure out why our away kit is blue (allbeit a different shade) and so is our home kit.
  18. I've heard there'll be something on this (ground plans, not racism) in tomorrow's M.E.N. Be sure and buy a copy y'all.

  20. ...in the ticket office?! Tremendous. And helpful too.
  21. When's this season ticket cut off point? I'm not holding my breath for some cashback..
