Fair question. I wish I had a good answer for you. Like I said, I'm new to football and started the season with the Premiership and am currently watching Aston Villa convince themselves they're a sixth place team and no better. But one of the things that has interested me the most is the depth of the sport, the number of clubs, promotion & relegation, there's just nothing like it here. I wanted to follow more than just a big club, so I started looking at teams in the other divisions. With nothing to really attract me to one club over another I was about to give up. Then as I said I'd heard a story about Oldham and started reading up on them a bit. I liked their chances at the beginning of the season, so I started following them. Like I said, not a great reason, not even a good reason, but there it is.

Born & raised. English decent though. Family got kicked out about 400 years ago for nicking jumpers at Tesco.

Not only am I a new Oldham supporter, I'm relatively new to football. I've been trying to follow the season as best I can from the midwest of the US where not even MLS cares to go. I heard an interview with the owner and thought he had a good outlook on the game, so here I am.
