I'm the first to admit I know fa about football, but I don't get all the talk about getting rid of someone who has had less than a season to put a team together. When Penney was signed I was surprised it was for only two years. I would think year one would be a complete scrapping and rebuilding year so crap results would be expected, year two you would hope to see some cohesion on the side and if things don't improve you begin to get concerned. For me it wouldn't be until year three or mid-year two at the earliest that I'd say this isn't working, we need a change. The worst thing that could happen to any club is to get stuck in the revolving door of a new coach ever one to two years. But that's just me, I haven't got as much skin in the game as most of you, it's just my two cents worth.

Oh come now. If this is a must win then so are all the others. I put it more in the category of a "Would be nice if we didn't piss all over ourselves" game.

I'm all for being the twelfth man. Remind me who the other eleven are? Seriously, you're right. This is when a team needs its fans the most.

I live in Minnesota, USA. Earlier this week we were told that our local team the Minnesota Thunder (2nd division) has not renewed its charter with the league, lost its coach, it's club president and the club is in serious debt. Today we were told that all the players have been released. For all intents and purposes we've lost men's professional soccer in our state. So to those who wonder why they should continue to go, consider the possible alternatives.

I vote to call the new grounds Son of Boundary Park. Or possibly Boundary Park II: The Wrath of Penney And I realize I'm still new and have no history with the club, but I'm more interested in the product on the field and less interested in what it says on the kits.

For the right price, which no one would pay in this market. So we keep him.

Easy for me to say having never been to BP and not a likely trip in the future, but one of the things I love about football is how much it's rooted in tradition. I'd rather see BP updated over time than build somewhere else, and sharing a stadium just sounds wrong.

I'll admit, having never seen anything but the 08/09 kits (and the pink one), I've heard you all going on about tangerine and thought you were all insane. But now I see it, it doesn't look half bad. Of course, she doesn't hurt the eyes either...

Quality story (although as an American, I'm not sure whether thinking someone is the dog's bollix is good or not ). I support my hometown throwball team but I live deep in rival territory. My 10 year old daughter got sick of being constantly harassed by her friends so she asked if she could like the other team too. I just said, "Sure honey, if you love them more than your daddy." Might not work with the boys but it sure worked in that case.
