  1. Confirmed Sat 23rd March 12.30pm onwards. Agenda to follow. Event FOC Please come on down, get involved if you want to or just come and meet some of your Trust team for a chat...I am just about human and would have had my breakfast by then.
  2. I would recommend any potential candidate to take sound legal advice on the Role they are undertaking and its legal responsibilites as per Simon Brooke above and Old Hallam Its not to put anyone off but to ensure you know what the role is and the legal ramifications of the Board position Even the Trust rep to the board will have Directors liability insurance in place
  3. I believe this is true but I am unclear how it would work as would not the fan have to follow the same guidelines as all directors? It would be a seperate role to the Trust Rep position to the board of OAFC
  4. Dear all I have posted on another thread about Trust trying to arrange a fan meeting this Saturday. More details to follow. Its on Trust twitter page to gauge if there is any interest and how we can move forward together. I know not everyone uses twitter...me included. Its just a snapshot for now...if you can vote it would be helpful Thanks

Anyways I don't do twitter but our communications guru has put his out there in this format with regards to bringing forward the fans meeting to this Saturday. 6. All valid point and these are my thoughts as a fan (trust hat off) and throwing it out there 1) Strength of support of action, (what's the point if only a few X amount of fans are prepared to do something?) 2) What is the action(s) 3) What's the purpose of the action...the end results/agenda 4) timescales 5) Outside club support. Trust hat on. Like Andy B has posted we are looking to get a meeting of minds together on a proposed date of 1st April. TBA on location, time, agenda and even if we can bring it forward. Andy B is also one of the Trust contacts with Supporters Direct and I am sure we will be seeking advice and guidance from them. Trust people are listening to all the fan feedback, on this site, Face book sites, twitter ect as frequently as we can and will keep you all posted Thanks
  7. It was confirmed t eh Trust AGM that the playershare player for 2018/19 will be Jose Baxter. we now need to crack on and get some publicity for it all and raise awareness... cheers everyone for your patience and contributions too Edited July 11, 2018 by underdog Hello Latics. The news broke on social media pre AGM (photos of Jose at Ground if I remember rightly) and in excitment at the time, a Playershare volunteer confirmed that we had been approached (it was not me, I posted from the AGM). It was only verbal agreement, they have been previously and unfortunatley, the deal then did not proceed and no monies were used from Playershare Lessons have been learned by all concerned. Thanks
  8. Ref any other business interests. I don't think so in the UK. Compaines house has a company registered as the main holder of the clubs shares. Address I think is outside UK and in UAE?
  9. TBH I don't have a contact at the club....Billy who posts on here maybe? or maybe he can help give the correct channel. Think I remember WiseOwl posted somewhere on the season ticket thread that he may have emailed the owner direct last Weds? maybe he can help. If not him apologies No resolution on the SLO volunteer vacancy the last I heard.
  10. Playershare was approached to help fund Baxter but then nothing more came of it, so no funds were actually use, or have been used all season. Baxter has not had the best of seasons, so its been a bit of a blessing in my opinion
  11. Playershare is administered seperate from the club and Trust. Funds are kept seperate and can only be requested by the manager of OAFC for players. We have been on a merry go round re managers for a while. So its business as usual nothing has changed with regards to that scheme. Don't forget you also have easyfundraising app that gives a monetary value kickback to Playershare for any online purchases you make, from travel, insurances, services, food shopping, ebay etc. There are over 300 retailers on there. Sorry for the bit of a plug but it was set up by the late Opinions4U and its still going. The trust want to help promote it more this season with the latics4life scheme. Both had to be put on the back burner for the time being Hope this makes sense
  12. I still don't understand the relevance that all directors have to be at home matches? do we eliminate supporters/Directors who live in the South? One already travels up from London after work and another from Gloucester to be at the monthly meetings and both either stop over or travel home that night at their expense. Do we eliminate those that are not season ticket holders maybe. I am in flooded Royton and no offence but I would not be coming out of my house for a fans meeting today even if it was called. Priority being my house could flood..sorry..house V trust meeting..hmmmm Its the weekend. Some Trust Directors do not live in the vicinity of BP, Two I know off would not have set off when it was called off. We are fans, fans who want to enjoy the football with family and friends on Saturdays home or away. We devote enough time outside normal office hours to engage with fellow fans on here, on twitter on facebook. I am curious how you would have rallied your company directors together on a Saturday for a meeting on a Saturday? We will have to agree to disagree on this one. But thanks for your input and welcome back to the OWTB board your absence after the Corney meeting made me curious and glad you are alright And on that note....I am logging off for the night, tea to cook, United game to watch..I know, I know...
  13. Why because we can't pull a meeting together in less than a day and on a weekend to boot? I feel you are being a little unreasonable but its your opinion
  14. We do keep in contact outside planned monthy meeting. My phone has been on meltdown since the PS new broke on Thursday afternoon.
  15. We can use the club if we pay rental ...hence we have a new home and that is usually used on saturdays. to be blunt .we all have lives we all don't frequent together on match days, some have their own routines pre-post match and maybe are still doing that as we speak. so it was too short notice for today. I hope you can understand that. With regards to assurance, no its not a pre-requist that all Trust directors have to be at home games. I don't understand why it would be
  16. exactly what you have said, it has already been suggested about us getting together as soon as we can. Not all directors are local though, logistics of meeting and venue we have just started to use being available, alternative venue available.as well. We are also looking into the logistics of a fans meeting/brainstorming/meeting of minds with regards to the next step Thanks
  17. no need to apologise. We are all very much diverse in our experience and skillsets, but we follow the same process of any board in place of a company. We meet, we discuss we vote. Granted sometimes its not all in so to speak, but it does tend to be for than against. Cheers
  18. How do you come to that conclusion? We meet, we discuss, we vote. To be honest we are more all in together than divide.
  19. Honestly I don't know, or if they have the resources even. We have been in contact with them as part of the Trust reach out to business to strengthen our links/support networks/advice network. As you know though, they have been a little bit pre-occupied with regards to Brexit, green belt and up and coming local May elections. They hold the ACV register and have been supportive of the club in different ways in the past I was chatting to a local councillor the other day about greenbelt and the topic did switch to latics, so we are generating interests at least.
  20. True....think I have posted that SD helped with a club that happened to and the council stepped in. The council did not want to loose their football club so they negotiated with the liquidators to buy both land and club.
  21. its not as easy or clear cut at it seems is it, I am not being condescending its just how complex our situation is .....some have posted ground first. Landlord and tennant are linked with regards to rental arrangements and agreements to maintain the ground.
  22. Honestly, I don't know if they have approached the owner. Honestly, which of the two is more the attractive offer? Chicken or egg? which one would you put first? geninune question. Timescales/availbility? As of this moment in time only one is up for sale....the Brassbank option.
