  1. After today you'll all have a rest from me for a few days. Off to Brighton at 8.00am on Friday and get back on Sunday. I'll read through the planning document next week. Now where's that special tee shirt?
  2. I agree with you Jac about slagging off other teams. This interest in songs all came about following last week's recollections about songs we no longer sing, and then SW decided to do his song sheet based on that type of song. It's come to a sorry state of affairs that we need a song sheet to get more people singing, but I don't want to discourage efforts to change things for the better. Those who know the old songs should have been singing them loud enough and often enough to teach the younger fans without it coming to this. When it comes to the crunch "Come on Oldham", "Oh! When the Blues", "Blue Flag" and "Sheridan's Blue & White Army" should suffice if repeated often enough on Saturday. Then hopefully, after the game, we can all sing "Jingle Bells" and "EI EI EIO". The others are OK for in the pub.
  3. Thanks for all your trouble. If it works, it's all down to you! If it doesn't then it wasn't for the want of trying.
  4. The scores for 2 & 3 need to be added together, as they're verses of the same song.
  5. Nos. 2 and 3 are meant to be the same song i.e., 3 is the second verse of 2.
  6. Although we couldn't get it sorted in time for Crewe, Optional has now worked his knackers off, under great personal strain with other pressures, to produce a new improved version of the video. He will ensure that the Club has a DVD before the squad leaves for Brighton. :thumb08: Then it's all down to the players!
  7. The new improved version is just what the doctor ordered! :thumb08: Thanks Optional.
  8. Alan Hardy has replied to says the Club's web man can't transfer fron YouTube to DVD for some reason. He asks whether anyone has it on DVD. If Optional or anyone can help with the DVD, please email him at: alan.hardy@oldhamathletic.co.uk I've emailed Optional on here.
  9. O.K. I've emailed Alan Hardy. I didn't want to steal your thunder, and all credit to you when it has the desired effect today.
  10. QUOTE(Alan Hardy) Thanks for that Stephen. It's a very good video and I will see if we can get in copied on to a DVD so that we can show it on the coach on the way to the Crewe game. It's has been a very good season to date, much better than we had hoped for and it would be a pity to miss out on the playoffs at this stage. Alan QUOTE Ackey, Optional has pointed out on JKL that the video you selected is not as good as a later one he did, which includes the Forest goals - see link. If it's too late for Crewe, perhaps that one could be used for the squad's Brighton trip.
  11. Well done Stephen! Onwards and upwards now!!
  12. Jimmy deserves the accolade of 'legend', both as a Latics' player and manager. He annoyed me at the time with his 'yard dogs' comment after we beat his Citeh, but without it we wouldn't have had that fantastic scene at Walsall, with many hundreds of inflated yard dogs being waved in the air - a classic Latics moment!
  13. Great idea, but we can't afford to wait until the Chesterfield game. Get it played on the team coach going to Crewe and Brighton!
  14. That chant is rated very highly by fans of other clubs, all of whom remember Frank's goals against Scarborough.
  15. This was adapted from a Shamrock Rovers' chant heard in the Isle of Man in '97: We all live in the Chaddy Road End Where all the walls are blue We're in Division Two. One that Sean Jarvis might be adapting to teach to the Udders fans: Andy Ritchie's magic, he wears a magic hat And when he saw the Oldham, he said "I fancy that" He could have stayed at ManU or Leeds but they're both sh*te So now he plays for Latics, cos they're f**kin' dynamite! Andy Ritchie's magic, he wears a magic hat He plays for Oldham Athletic, he's such a lovely chap He scores goals with his left foot, he scores goals with his right But when we play Man City, he'll score all f**kin' night! And the never-to-be-forgotten: Come on without, come on within You've not see nothin' like Frank Bunn's chin!
  16. Another goal from Diego in last week's 4-0 victory for Lealtad.
  17. Ah, David James! He kept us in the Premier League when playing for Liverpool, by letting us score direct from a corner. The ref covered up the same mistake from him against Citeh in the Cup, by giving an unwarranted free kick.
  18. Current leaders Lealtad will have to go into the play-offs to decide which team gets promoted. The situation with our Reserves is that, even if they beat Chester in their last match, they'll have to wait until Tranmore and PNE play their three games in hand, before we know if they're champions. If they are champions and if there is a trophy presentation, say at the Chesterfield match, or at the home leg of the play-offs (cough), perhaps Diego will come over. He has said previously that he would be prepared to do so. Until a date is known it's difficult to see how he's fixed with his team's matches.
  19. I though you were pulling my leg-end, which is my ankle isn't it?
  20. He's already respected more on here and JKL than some of our players.
  21. At last I've found the only Latics' fan who's never heard of the great Diego Cervero. You are forgiven, my son. I was running out of excuses to write about him - a PM is on its way! If only you'd known sooner - you could have bid for one of his shirts! Is anyone treating Brighton as 'Diego Day'?
  22. Just the thing to cheer up some Latics' fans - another goal from Diego in Spain. His team Lealtad is currently top of the league.
  23. Who would fancy our chances if it goes to the last game against Mark Allott's Chesterfield, a team that's already played us off the park twice this season?
  24. So we know we're OK if we have to play in Valencia.
