Morrisons volley for city, after the ball looped up in the air I shouted "Hit it Fatty" and the ball whistled into the net from 30 yards to the joy of the 80 or so City fans sitting around me! Gutted! That one this season forget the game or the name but that was special! was in Rocky rd end and he cracked it miles out and for once (ahem) it looped over our keeper!

I did like Cooper he looked good, green but had potential, would have him back!

Pee poor effort this one!

Our track record of blooding home grown keepers is absolute rubbish. Year after year we have young eager kids sat on the bench the 1st choice gets injured and we go out and loan one...............Day......Blaney? (sorry bad spelling) god you could go on and on! the best of the lot was Grant, but he was head and shoulders better than any loan keeper I have seen in recent times. Why does our youth set up train these kids through the ranks and just let em rot on the bench, or be farmed out to non league teams. I think we lost Richard Siddall to Sheff Wed and Nigel has taken the helm. As I remember when my lad was at Latics you never saw the reserve/1st team team GK coach. If they are not good enough we must get rid and bring in players with the potential to make the next step up. If our backroom staff think they have what it takes the Manager must give them a go rather than do what we always do and loan some naff no mark in. Good luck to the new kid anyway and I hope in future he gets a run in the 1st team

Major disapointment if we get Crossley or Keep Gray (although I wouldn't mind if he stayed as number two wore pants and stopped putting articles in the advertiser, which always started "Not the best of weeks....." , out of the three Bunn but he was third on my wish list behind Butt and Gannon : Rubbish if that article is true absolute rubbish Latics

A carpet layer had just finished installing carpet in the latics trophy room for Alan Hardy. He stepped out for a smoke, only to realise that he had lost his cigarettes. In the middle of the room, under the carpet, was a bump. "No sense pulling up the entire floor for one pack of cigs," he said to himself. He got out his hammer and flattened the hump. As he was cleaning up, Alan came in. "Here," Alan said, handing him his pack of cigarettes. "I found them in the hallway." "I found your cigs" he said "But can't find the League 2 Championship trophy anywhere" "Oh dear" said the fitter blushing, "Ok then Ill keep looking" Alan said as he turned to go out the room" The fitter in a panic ripped back the carpet, looked down holding his breath and fearing the worst "Phew" he sighed as he looked down, it was only Rob Purdies artificial hip!" I must admit when I first heard he was in the frame I wasn't overly impressed, "BUTT" thinking about it, Hes a name, he would probably put a few more bums on seats and he will know what the Newcastle and Manure have in their youth/reserve teams. There could be gems in there that could do a job for us. It could just work? it could, why not, he wouldnt be the only ex manure player to get a job managing and do ok. I hope TTA and Hardy take a good luck and not get dazzled by the fact hes a name. If Gray stays or we get Bunn, they have experience of Latics and they could be invaluble in helping Butt if hes the man. There must be substance to him tho and the board have to back him. I have decided whoever it is he gets at least 2 seasons come hell of high water for me. I'm sick of the manager merry go round at BP so I will stick to my guns this time ...................ahem! He's Bald Ex red, But plays for Oldham instead , Nicky Butt, Nicky Butt...

I watched Tom Heaton this season he is a good solid keeper, who knows, I do think a centre back is priority!

I don't know how much they will cost, just a wish list, but if we can pay the reported 60k for Colbeck sure we can afford 2k, 5k, 20k or even 65K for a lower league marksman! we still may consider Taylor, Richards may get sold in the summer and they could bring in funds to "Punt" for a lower league marksman, there are diamonds out there Fitz springs to mind? Like i said a wish list, glad I never said Messi! Punt - (football) a kick in which the football is dropped from the hands and kicked before it touches the ground; "the punt traveled 50 yards"; "punting is an important part of the game" ................................so SLY dont underestimate the Power of the word PUNT!!!!!

Jay Rodriguez on loan, young striker from Burnley was in touching distance of BP when Barnsley called earlier in the year. Bas Savage- (Sorry I'm a fan ), big strong, set goals up Matt Tubbs- Mid twenties bags goals in Blue square, hes signed a new contract with Salisbury but worth a punt! or the other Richard Brodie, hes banged a few goals in the lower leagues. Mark Roberts big centre half and captain of Stevenage another maybe worth a go!

Martin is NOT the man to take the helm, lets get someone with a bit of passion, Gray is a clone of Penney, the two obviously lost the players and the fans and I think it would be suicide to appoint him. I would like Gannon and if not Bunn/Ritchie ......................an interesting one is the rumour about Mike Phelan, although his name was in the running for Burnley so can't see it. One defo i'm not interested in is Nicky Butt- no ta! Burley is looking, that could be an interesting appointment if we can afford him but sadly I don't think we can!

High - I have 3 - 1. Palmer at the ground Saturday!- 2. DP sacked (what a great week) 3. After watching Colbeck run down the wing, One of the Chaddy enders shouting "Colbeck where did you park your horse?" after laughing for a good 10minutes every time he touched the ball there were horse noises and shouts of "Colbeck why the long face! ect ect................. Brilliant! Low - I don't go many away games but I would say most of the Home games have been awful- Accrington Stanley, Wycome at Home was as bad as I can remember. Also DP after game team talks, Awful including his programme notes again pitiful!

Lets hope this new man gets us to score 3 goals in one match!!!!!!!!!

The man had no outward showing passion, a big thing for me, you like to see you manager hand out a b******* or two from the touchline when the chips are down, thats why I never rated Sharpe. Poor buys = Penney the monkey!!!!
