A good few factors contribute to what people spend, which everyone of us knows about. Necessity spending first. Then it's the amount of disposable income being the next biggest. A persons perceived wants/interests/leisure/time and the enjoyment gained from that activity being paid for. Regarding ST's in particular then the level of disposable income available will be a big one. Matched with whether Latics and football in general being their go to interest/bag. Enjoyment/Entertainment is certainly up there as a main reason and that could purely be for the social side of it. Then we have those with the disposable and the affiliation to the club who see it as helping out financially. I'd wager plenty of these have missed a good number of home games this season and the money wasted isn't a driver for them not renewing again next season. I've missed loads this season whether it be through work, family commitments or lethargy to the dross. I am certainly in this category these days. The one thing and the biggest thing that increases sales is a winning, entertaining team. If the club shop is buzzing it means we are top of the league. I hope for the Rothwell's sakes sales remain buoyant.

More of the same performance against Chesterfield required today but will the pitch not lend itself to that?. For me a must win game, as are all the remaining fixture to secure a play off birth.

Lets be honest there should only be one winner today going off the season to date. Yet footballs a funny old game so lets see. Maybe a big part of our squad know, including some starters today they won't be here next season, nor want to be but, the desire to be footballer's that got them here should be enough to want to win. Here's hoping that today we piss on the Champions elect parade and in doing so improve our play off chances. COYB.

Yes, I posted on JK Latics. I remember Jack and myself interviewing Kenny Clements at Diggle Band Club for an article on there. All for a 3 pints fee!! TGOBM was quite a knowledgeable chap, many suspected it was Alan Hardy, not sure about that myself but I do wonder what became of him.
