  1. Im on 02 and would be happy to take part, where do I need to send my number to and what other info do you need?
  2. Depend on the deal I suppose, don't think I'd be too happy especially if he became involved
  3. If Steven Vaughan can pass the 'fit and proper persons' test then I will stop following football and take up curling
  4. We are changing pie supplier in the faint hope some may still be left once the game kicks off on saturday
  5. Trawling through the local media site's a work I've just come across this about DogDale kits for next season, wonder if we have a similar deal lined up??????? http://www.rochdaleonline.co.uk/news-features/3/rochdale-afc-news/68844/3-year-kit-deal-with-jd-sports Now I know this will probably mean our kit will still ultimately be made by them same peopl Carbrini/Carlotti/Fila all seem to be the same company these days and all have strong ties to JD but I quite liked this quote from the article; 'The kits are bespoke, so will be a design exclusive to Rochdale' Aleast if our deal is similar we will have a 'unique' design rather than the 'paint by numbers' templates so many other clubs seem to use these days.
  6. I'm holding back until I know what division we are in. before anybody starts calling me a 'glory hunter' or getting on my back saying you should support your team regardless hear me out. I think that whilst our league 1 status not 100% certain I feel the club have jumped the gun a little in announcing the prices for next season. I have had a ST since 2002 after I had left school , got a proper job and could therefore afford to buy one. Also I will admit that I felt a little aggrieved not so much by the reason for the Willy Wonka scheme but more how the club have handled it. Yes we do need more fans but the majority of people I know who took up this offer are people who attend most weeks and would have been going anyway. Then you have the compensation thing, yes I know it has been done to death on here already but if the club never intended on doing anything then why say they were going to look at compo. I personally got my ST early so it works out I am still in pocket (just) but I do sympathise with anybody who bought a ST after the discount date because they have been well and truely shafted by golden ticket. anyhow on to my point, if the worst does happen and we do go down can anybody seriously see how the club could jusify charging £20 quid a game for league 2 football? no me neither which then leaves them with a big decision to make, do they stick with charging League1 prices for leage2 football or do they reduce match day admission thus making it pointless having paid £330 for a ST?????
  7. That would be the hope but how many of these will have their United/City shirts on when they come??????
  8. Same here, I go on holiday on 17th May so if I do get 1 it looks like I'll be doing the 3 month deal. I agree to an extent about a pat on the back for freezing prices but we are still left to wait to find out what compo ST holders get following on from the Willy Wonka offer. I think knocking say £50 off for existing ST holders to renew would have kept most happy, instead I see they are still promoting the bury/dogdale 'offer' as a perk. Also whilst the £10 junior ticket looks great offer and may encourage more families to attend (which is no bad thing), I think they could have say made it £50 which IMO would still be great value for money and this would have helped cover the cost of appeasing the current ST holders.
  9. i was unfortunately born in dogdale and still live and work in the hell-hole but have only ever supported latics. believe me this has the potential to be a hugh derby and proper rivalry if given a chance and after all the :censored:e I have had to put up with since last years home game I for one hope we give them a serious beating tomorrow (or a jammy 1-0er) either way we have to win and this game certainly means something to me. (I do however agree that generally speaking as something to look forward too 'away' derbies are much better than 'home' ones).
  10. Agreed. I took a chance on 'She stood there laughing' when I wanted a couple of other books and HMV had a 3 for 2 offer on. I have to say I actually enjoyed it more the the 2 other books I originally went to buy. It gives a great insite into just what it means to be a proper fan and I think it should be made compulsory for all plastic mancs to have a copy (assuming of course they actually know how to read).
  11. If these NIMBY's would much rather have Oldham remembered purely for negative things such as the race riots then fair play to them. Even though I was born and live in DogDale I have always been an Oldham fan and when I go on holiday and mention this very fact I usually hear a positive comment about the club/town. I would also bet my bottom dollar that half these NIMBY's are the first to complain about the 'lack of jobs in the town' but yet can they not see that a redeveloped BP would increase the amount of jobs in the town and that most of them will go to people in the local area. Being a resident of DogDale I have seen the positive effect that a local council (RMBC) working with local sports clubs (Dale and Hornets) to develop what was a delapiadated stadium (spotland) can have. Rarely does a week pass by were either myself or somebody I know is not attending an event of some sort at the ground. I have also seen much being said about the council 'giving a business (latics) lots of taxpayers cash just to benefit a few football fans' this is kinda true but in return for this taxpayers cash are the council not getting a piece of land, which they then hope to develop? again this will create MORE JOBS for the NIMBYS (or have I missed something and will all these jobs only be offered to latics fans)
  12. may have to reconsider my decision to not have a drink this week!
