No to hasbeens, yes to raw talent.
What happened to the Fitz Hall, Wayne Andrews, Cooksy poaching days of old? As the none league thread suggests, plenty of raw talent in the Blue Square Prem and beyond. Cheap wages, cheap transfer fee.
And Croft...
Would be a shame to sideline Croft form Adams but, from what I've heard, Adams was an absolute gem. Bertrand's gotta be in there over Golbourne.
Had difficulty picking the second CM after Kilkenny. Settled for Cywka after he signed for Derby. The only other CM I could think of is Adeyemi and, for me, he was very average.
What would be your Latics Loanees Starting XI?
Here's mine:
GK Amos
DL Bertrand
CB Brown
CB M'voto
RB Clarke
ML Scapuzzi
MC Kilkenny
MC Cywka
MR Croft
CF Beckett
CF Parkin
... set to make Champions League debut in tonight's game.
League One to Champions League final in 4 years.
Good luck to the lad - one of the better loanees over the years.

I know it's been mentioned in the 'released by other clubs' thread but felt it deserves its own.
Sunderland release Oumare Tounkara.
Let's hope we sign him up and he can show some of the form he showed in the last game of the season.
Just signed Walsh/Welsh from Tchhranmere and Stevenage's left back who's bagged a few in this division. Sounds like they're trying a Charlton. Young, hungry, proven League Oners.
DAN!!
Sounds promising (he says as he touches anything wooden).
So, long story short:
1) the Council's planning application to buy the Lancaster club was submitted on 19 April
2) the club has been given £300k to begin design and consultation
3) the club will receive an extra £400k upon acceptance of the planning application
Just one startling question - where's the rest of the money coming from? £700k won't get you very far.
DAN!!
Compensation has been offered and that's the club's fault and the club's fault alone. Taking the club up on whatever this compensation may/may not be is another issue altogether.
We have to take into consideration that not all season ticket holders were completely happy with the whole Golden Ticket situation and they are well within their rights to moan and groan.
If the club regret even mentioning the 'c' word, why not come out and apologise for promising something they can't financially provide? Why mislead the core? Customer service anyone?
Put the issue to bed.
Any news on this 'ere compensation Corney promised season ticket holders following the Golden Ticket announcement? Not that bothered about claiming; more intrigued to see what he offers...
Can't fault him for his work ethic but an absolute nothing player.
Box to box midfielder? Once a game.
Playmaker? No.
Battler? No.
Good in the air? No.
Dangerous at corners? No.
Strength on the ball? No.
Link up player? No.
10 out of 10 for running around like a headless chicken for 90 minutes but headless chickens are not what we need.
Closing note: thought his best games were at right back when Lee resorted to the left.
