  1. I wouldnt want Wright, would cost a bit in wages and injury/error prone, think money could be spent better but then i trust the gaffer
  2. Hardly a brave statement as the season dont start until August lol If (and it wont be) was our starting line up 1st game of the season then panic would kick in for us all, there is a big rumour down here in the south that we have been linked with Jeff Hughes former Bristol Rovers player, he rejected a new offer as wanted to stay in league 1, we would be able to afford his wages at least im sure i got this from a Bristol City fan though who knows Byron Anthony so stayed tunned Thing is players only come of holiday this week in most cases so expect more movement in the next 2 weeks for sure i would say
  3. The Michael Brown rumour that wont go away is back on another thread he was skipper at Pompey maybe him in and as skipper??? Im sure he would love playing Sheff Utd opening game of season, maybe he will be Stephens replacement if he goes
  4. I think that Furman is the more natural leader but Taylor was more inspring when he had the armband in some of his preformances at the end of the season I went for Furman
  5. Im not suprised with Evina departure i would imagine he has been given assurances he will be 1st choice left-back this season at least to start of with
  6. To be honest i would rather Keeley Hazell than Rubes she would defo bring the punters in with them bangers I would rather her tits than rubes make a tit of himself
  7. Exactly what i said mate get big Jean signed up now I would go to the table and offer an extra £400 a week and then concentrate on one of Donaldson or Mcdonald with the other £600 a week How much do u think Rubes was on....
  8. I would use some of that money offered to Hazell to get M'Voto signed up now, losing him would then make the Hazell departure as well a big blow Good luck in the future Rubes Taylor new skipper???? That should keep him here even though i think the Norwich deal is Stephens anyway
  9. Subject to change?? Lol in other words when we play Carlise at home last game of the season to get in the play offfs they can raise the prices lol
  10. Yep Dave Penny and he :censored:e spring to mind more than most, how did we stay up that year lol Lucky we had a few good players carrying us and Greegs at the back that year
  11. The fixtures are to be finalised by 1st July pretty sure you wont know before then mate
  12. You live in Gloucester the_mighty_bosh no way i cant belive another latics fan lives here, I live in Quedgeley we go up every home game nearly apart from some midweeks small world
  13. any chance sheff utd's 1st game in the 3rd tier being on TV Maybe im being naive surely a chance though
  14. Delighted in a word Bet the board are just as happy. MONEY MONEY MONEY
  15. I bet they can not belive our luck at last the thing is play well at the start and we can get people coming back, hot summer days in august no excuse for fans not turning up to these big games and 1st away game is just an hour from my house The new cat A games thing they have brought in all 3 them home games to start have to be the most expensive tickets I am so excited, lets take advantage Sheff utd not in full swing and there turmoil Honestly maybe a chnace us v Blades on tv 1st game season though surely!!!!
  16. Thats great 1st 3 home games Sheff utd Dale Huddersfailed 3 bumper crowds equals a lot of money lol we could be at the top 6 of the home attendance record at least The board must be rubbing there hands together
  17. Its a genuine chance for progression this year, its not just about this game its about the whole cup run. At a time when the club at struggling win this and u get further money for the win, then 50% the gate at the next game and so on, then there is the feel good factor cup runs bring to a club Personally i would rather progress than see the club lose a game away to Hull or somewhere stupid and make a few quid Win this then take a nice ride to round 3 and play a big boy club please
  18. Great news if true hats of to Morais im sure there were bigger offers on the table for him
  19. yeah i wouldnt expect anything and to be honest were not due it on this deal unfortunatley, what i do wonder is when he left Arsenal as he was under 24 did we pay them anything?? Cant see us being able to
  20. yep i would take any offer Charlton made us of of court as we wouldnt get much if anything
  21. The fee is based on his education at the club mate, it was brought in so that say we had him from the age of 15 and we taught him what he knew we would get our money back Unfortunatley i wouldnt expect anything from this, it may go to a tribunal and get a couple thousand at most
  22. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/paulfletcher/2009/06/secrets_of_the_fixture_compute.html The teams we can actually play are limited hence why u quite often end up with a local derby on key dates, see the above link, i would personally like Huddersfailed at home opening day or a trip to somewhere in the August sun like Exeter (and because its close to me) Opening games bring big crowds where we all miss the football so a big side at home with a big gate would help
  23. I have heard a rumour Evina could sign for Brentford by Tuesday? I understand that he would like to move closer to friends and family seems a sideways move to me, i think he did us a good job lasrt season
  24. 2015??? I take it that mean 20:15pm in the year 2020 mate and two weeks later the dubious goals pannel give it as an OG and award it to the defender
  25. The problem is we are after a goalscorer and they are like gold dust and everyone wants them, we know we are going to get at least 1 keeper, hopefully M'voto, a midfielder if Dale leaves and 1 more striker I think a lot will depend on who signs deals out of those who have been offered them I wouldn't mind Shane Higgs perhaps as the keeper, Jeff Hughes would be a great signing as well, i think we will go down the youngster route though due to wage restrictions and i would expect 5/6 players and no more than that at most, its key not to upset the balance of the side and build a strong nucleus and get the right personality not just the right player, adding a few winners would be a start people who have been there and done it on this league and know what it takes to get out of it, consolidate in it KTF
