Good point, hopefully he does! If he doesn't leave that would be quality but if he does leave I can't really being able to get someone in who is as good as him but we'll see...

Another thing is that if Baxter leaves then it is likely that LJ will then look to Wes to fill the void, we completely lose the attacking flair that we had.

That's another reason why I don't want Baxter to leave, he is a top young footballer and the transfer money we got for him we wouldn't re - invest with, it would just go in the pot like all the other transfer fees we have seen such as Eaves with none of the fans not having a clue what was done with the money. And for me, in today's marker Baxter is worth at least 1m, 17 LEAGUE goals plus countless assists for a player who is only 21 is top, top class. Definitely worth at least 1m. We should hold out until someone bids at least 1m.

I suppose he could find someone to replace Baxter and work with his vision but I would much rather keep Jose who knows the club etc and the way we play rather than someone new, also I don't think we could find someone as good as Baxter with the little money we have. And I know we have to find the money to pay for the stand but surely Corney has plans on how to do that, he wouldn't of commenced building if he didn't, plus Baxter's transfer fee will only be 1m meaning we will still have to find 1.5m from somewhere...

To be fair all these rumours seem to have come from one of them :censored: transfer agent Twitter account which fills me with some hope. HOWEVER Loads of other people tweeting about it as well puts some doubt in my mind...

Type 'Jose Baxter' on that magnifying glass in the top right and refresh then scroll through, there's loads of people tweeting about it.

However, Baxter is absolutely pivotal for us to do anything this season as well as that if we want to keep progressing as a club we would want to keep our best players like Baxter rather than paying for a stand which we can already pay for.

Hate to be yet again talking about a potential move for him because I hate seeing it myself when people are certain he is going to go because I would like to think he likes it here and wants to stay. BUT I'm seeing all over Twitter that Bolton have activated his release clause, I could see this happening because Dougie Freedman had him at trial at Palace and rated him but said he wasn't fit enough for the Championship, now he is match fit could he be possibly be on the move? There is also murmurs that Burnely have bid for him as well...

Yep, agreed absolutely terrible, never allowed JCH to make any contact on their defence and to use his strength either. Ruined the game.

For me Mellor just wasn't up to the pace, constantly made mistakes such as mis-judging the bounce of the ball etc AND for a 'ball playing centre half' the amount of misplaced passes from him into midfield was laughable not to mention the long field punts that went out for a throwing. Brown, again wasnt good enough, he wasnt as bad as Mellor but he was still poor, he doesn't offer anything going forward and also makes many mistakes defensively, he doesn't seem to have that footballing brain. Tarkowski on the other hand was excellent, vocal and kept the score at 1-0, and for me he was a good shout for MOM, I would of given it to Korey Smith in the end though.

Yes definitely, Mellor was terrible tonight. Sorry but he was, kept getting outdone and targeted all game and if it was a better referee some of his mistakes would of been punished. In desperate need of a centre half to partner Tarkowski who was excellent tonight.

Of course it isn't legit. Somebody makes one very year for a laugh.

He had the odd touch of class but for me didn't do it consistently enough. Was more than happy when he turned down a new contract, in my opinion I thought he was a very average winger.

I don't think this would be true, Dann starts for Blackburn and they have no one that's good enough to step up to the first team, I can see them getting in someone to replace Dann and start if he leaves but Tarkowski wouldn't start in the Championship.

He's impressed me pre-season, come back fit. I can't really see Schmeltz getting ahead of Montano and Dayton at this rate.
