I reckon it is a good signing really, free agent, experienced, lowish wage because he is coming towards the end of his career and knows the club, I would only use him when we have to but he would also be useful for seeing out games and off the pitch, his experience etc could prove vital. Not a bad signing with the budget we have!

He is alright for a bit of cover I suppose, won't be on much of a wage and will just provide some cover with injuries hitting. As well as this like Dickov has said his experience may be useful with all young players in the squad. A bit of experience on the bench will be useful as well for seeing out games.

Seems about right. Byrne lacks pace and M'Voto makes many mistakes - unreliable defence. CM lacks, supposed to have one looking to hold back and one looking to attack, then both joining in when either defending or attacking. Seems we never have a partnership like that there. Croft lacks pace and when Wabara overlaps he cannot get decent crosses into the box. M'Changama out of position and clearly see that. Taylor not ready and Matt Smith just a physical presence, League 2 player at best. Serious changes needed!

I would get someone with experience in? Somebody like Phil Brown who was actually on talks with Hartlepool before Laws took over and he is also situated in the North so is gettable!

I agree that it would be a big loss for the team and i also agree that he is worth at least 500k seen as though we turned down that amount a few seasons ago i think from Leeds United and he is as good if not better than he was then so we should get the same or more amount of money. However even though he is a good player i don't see him being a Championship player who could then move into the Premier League with Burnley, i reckon he is a player who can play at the Championship level at best so even though it would be a loss if we get a good sum of money then i could see the benefits of selling him as long as we re-invest the money and actually spend it which hasn't happened when we sold Spencer, Abbott, Eaves or Stephens etc!

Not that bothered about Alessandra being released however would of been good for the bench next season to come on when we need a goal. I would like to see Smalley accepting his contract and then hopefully get in the form he has been in at Chesterfield and try and break into the first team however if we can get a bit of money for him then i would just sell him. And then Dickov will be able to unearth another gem like he did with Morais. So no problems Promotion next season!

Where have you heard this mate? We kept him out of the game when they played us at their place and our defending this season is not exactly great haha so i think clubs like Schalke etc can mark him!
