  2. I was the Mascot when we played Sheffield Wednesday a couple of years back... I was so nervous. Still have all the pictures hidden away... lol
  3. Well said. People should get off Pogliacomi's back... he has done an awful lot for Oldham Athletic and He loves the club to bits.
  4. I can honestly say that I did rate Wellens as a player… but his ego and arrogant personality did put me off him hugely. I am personally glad he has gone, I don’t want players like that who can be tempted away by a higher wage. We need players who want to play for Oldham and move onwards and upwards… Wellens clearly wants to stay in this league where he looks impressive. I doubt he could cut it in the Championship – no matter who he was playing for
  5. Don’t give him any abuse?! What about all the abuse he gave us on his return visits to BP?? That is the only reason I am not very optimistic about this signing - I can just remember some of the shizzle he gave us.
  6. Clayton Arms ;)

  7. I can understand this comment. The last game of the 2006/2007 season I saw most of the Oldham squad, on a night out in Oldham. I got chatting to Terrell Forbes (drunkenly) I will never forget this conversation because it was quite deep and I believe that he was genuinely upset. He was saying how he thought he was performing well at the beginning of the season, also that when the confidence is low it doesn’t help being targeted and booed by your own fans. He also was saying how he had never experienced this at any other club, and that our fans made him afraid to but the shirt on and walk out onto the pitch because he didn’t know what to expect next – at this point I was feeling quite sorry for him. He asked me if our club was racist because he couldn’t believe some of the comments he had heard, he also mentioned the Oldham riots as more proof to say that our town and club is racist and had issues with race, I told him that you can’t judge people from the uneducated and ignorant minority that are racist. I think that our fans turned him into a nervous wreck because that was the impression he was giving off – look at him now, highly rated at a club that just missed promotion, he also won player of the season. So how is it that he can play that well at another club but not ours? You have to ask yourself that question, because I happened to rate him at the start of the season. I’m not saying that every supporter of Oldham Athletic is a racist but I have also heard a lot of race based comments. It does happen. Booing players is simply ridiculous anyway; if a player is wearing the shirt they should be supported 110%. What will boo and verbally abusing them achieve? Nothing, it will only lower confidence and make matters worse. Not only that though, but I believe that its very embarrassing – other fans hear us booing and shouting abuse at our own players, what will they think? Very very embarrassing. You could only imagine my conversation with Forbes that night, because he said a lot of other saddening things. For the first time in my life I was actually ashamed to admit that I was a Latics fan. : Rant over
  8. No I am going to the birdcage on saturday... as far away from you and your retarded friend as i can get :P

  9. I might be moving near you!

    Wooohoooo... Lucky Butter ;)

  10. Hmmmmm i quite like Gregan's ass Think this is a good singing, as long as injury doesn't disturb him.
  11. I think this could be a quality signing for Sheridan – if it pays off. He has spotted and opportunity and grabbed it so fair play. What Hughes did was appalling, but everyone deserves a second chance and at the end of the day he is only human and he will be paying for what he did every day of his life. He is getting a lot of media attention simply because he is a footballer. On the other hand I feel for the family because they are going to see his name almost every week in papers and be reminded of their loss and his crime. It makes me angry though – why the Flip do footballers drink drive?? They think they are above the law and the punishments should be harsher for them, they seem to always get away with things drink driving, assault etc. Its not like they can’t afford taxis is it? My reaction is very mixed – but I’m putting money on him to be league one top goal scorer
  12. I LOVE Warne... Oooops i appear to be spamming again (COUGH)
