  1. ive created a new topic with a more recognisable topic title and messaged ackey about publicising it
  2. as you may already know a group of Oldham Athletic fans(myself included, aswell as others such as James Hayes, Callum Lord and Dom Weiss) are walking almost 40 miles overnight from Boundary Park to Bramall Lane to raise money for the Meningitis Trust in the wake of the recent losses of 'ex-Latic' Dean Holden's daughter Cici to Meningitis and Latics fan Alex Williams, an ambassador for the Meningitis Trust and one of the proposed walkers. So please could you take a few minutes from your day and few pennies from your pocket to by sponsoring us via Paypal or Credit Card at www.justgiving.com/BPtoBramallLane or texting BLBP69 followed by however much you wish to donate, say '£2' to 70070. Any donation will help towards our target of a mere £500, we've already raised £181 of it 2 months before the walk and we all want to smash it. The walk will take place overnight from the 12th October to the 13th where we will then watch the Latics take on Sheffield United hoping for a repeat of last season's 2nd half heroics! I will try to tweet as much throughout the walk from my Twitter account about whereabouts and activities. Below is the poster for the event and I would really appreciate it if you could print out the image and place it in your house windows or workplaces and just get the awareness of this out there, there has been great success in the Latics4Life initiative and I hope we can replicate that for the Meningitis Trust.
  3. Id happily go down to BP and write player profiles and take pictures, how hard can it be!?
  4. much easier to just check twitter, OWTB and facebook for Latics updates rather than the O/S
  5. I've just given a shoutout on Twitter, but im sorry to say its not the players or lord sugar following the account, rather the account following them hoping to be noticed, the players will see and probably follow back soon, as has the infamous 'Billy Quarmby'
  6. you can donate via Paypal at www.justgiving.com/BPtoBramallLane or you can use your debit/credit card at the same address
  7. this is a great idea mate, top man! may I suggest buying the tickets for the Chaddy End as there is the Boundary Blues shop underneath the stand run by Rick Attwood? prices much cheaper than those in the pieshops for drinks and chocolate with other confectionery also on sale very proud of oldham fans atm..
  8. "@FootieNews20121: Oldham join the race to sign Scott Vernon from Aberdeen. MK Dons, Colchester and Notts County also interested. #OAFC #Aberdeen #MKDONS #CUFC" not sure how legitimate this is, likely to be not very but imagine the reception he'd get if he came back! SUPER SCOTTY VERNON!
  9. Please text 'BLBP69 £2' to 70070 to donate to Meningitis Trust on behalf of the Oldham fans doing the charity walk from Boundary Park to Bramall Lane in memory of Cici Holden and @oafcforlife (Alex Williams).
  10. in the spirit of the 100m sprint, won in 9.63 seconds by Usain Bolt, who do you think is the fastest man latics have ever had on the books? or the fastest you've ever seen play at Boundary Park?
  11. im really not paying attention tonight, i assumed he meant at the corner of the ground, i wouldnt oppose to floodlights in the stand though.
  12. it cant be hes not on the pitch anyway, i think some of you are being much too picky about what you like and dislike and whats shown on the proposal. Obviously there will be floodlights, dont be silly. its alot better than some other stands in our league and the leagues below.
  13. i like it alot, reminds me of the b2net a little, more so because of how modern it is rather than the design.
  14. no need to be picky, theyve all played for 'Oldham Athletic' at some point.
  15. definitely gone too soon, was supposed to be taking part in the walk for the meningitis trust to bramall lane, will be doing it in memory of him now. RIP Alex.
  16. "@GedCoyne1: @mcfc_ngen_acad @oafcunofficial Spoke2every City&Oldhamplayer after game&they all said it was the bestpitch that they'd ever played on #fact"
  17. Sorry the scorers were Liddell(2), Allessandra and Taylor. I thought the way Hughes won the penalty was actually the way he'd scored, my mistake.
  18. Oldham Athletic 4-3 Millwall. After going 1-0 down after 13 seconds, Lidds pulled a goal back with his chest but we were 3-1 down before long, all hope seemed lost and Millwall fans being the tw*ts they are were loving it. If I remember rightly Hughes made it 2-3 and then he won a penalty which Lidds converted, never missed did he? and then late on we got a free-kick on the edge of the area and it was the best thing I've seen Oldham do with a set-piece, couple of touches before Taylor struck it and won us the match. 3-1 up and you :censored:ed it up!
