  1. I think there is and heard its about £24 i think but not sure about the time. Official Coach is only £25 and sets off at 8am.
  2. That isn't true, the attendances dropped massively under Penney and with the demolition of the Broadway Stand. Yes, attendances may have dropped slightly under Dickov but not as drastically as you're making out.
  3. younger players prone to more mistakes obviously! every team makes mistakes and a lot of the goals in this league are a result of lethargic defending, even in the prem 2 backpasses were short this weekend and both resulted in goals, just shows it can happen to anyone. I'd rather Tarky sold Cisak short and gave him a slight chance instead of just heading it a yard over him for it to bobble into the back of net, or as I like to call 'The Hazell'
  4. we bought our coach tickets before the game on Saturday and we were 12th, 13th and 14th buyers and that was at about 2.30, I reckon there'll be a maximum of 30 booked on so far and I'd probably be closer saying 20 so there'll definitely be room
  5. imo Furman is having to do too much, covering for out of position CBs and Changy too much when he should be allowed to concentrate on his own job, Furman without Wesolowski is a defensive midfielder when partnered with Changy. Changy chases forward for the ball rather than staying in position and helping Furman when other teams are attacking and too often doing the jobs of a lazy Simpson and before saturday a lackluster Slew, in saturday's case it was an out-of-depth Winchester who's still learning his trade. Someone needs to teach Changy to push forward when we're attacking but then return to position when the opposition inevitably win the ball. A lot of you moan about sidewards passing but there isn't much more he can do with the ball, he hasn't got the sublime skill to take players on and is a very poor man's Xavi. If a through ball is on he will play it, the problem is noone moves for him. Simpson stands infront of the CB waiting for the ball to come to him and that does nothing for us, the only player usually in tons of space is Lee Croft but noone seems to be able to find him. There isn't much we can do about it but itd help Dickov if he could get someone to sit in the RRE and look for the space on the pitch as itd be pretty hard for him in the Main Stand and the players on the pitch. Acres of space on the right wing against Walsall and it was the same saturday against Stevenage. Although I do have to admit Stevenage are a good physical side, I doubt we'll come up against a team as tall and rough as that for the rest of the season.
  6. would take a point minimum, a loss is unacceptable imo. Yes, Pompey have made some decent short term signings (including Izale Mcleod who we were apparently interested in) and have performed decently so far taking a point from Bournemouth and Colchester and losing to Carlisle with ten men, scoring 2 and conceding 2 in injury time, but expectation is that we should win, we have a stronger starting XI than they have and they only sit one place above the relegation zone, they're leaky at the back, obvious from conceding 7 in 3 games and concentration seems to slip late on in the game, they conceded in the 78th v Bournemouth, the 83rd v Colchester and the 92nd & 96th v Carlisle. If we can exploit this then there shouldn't be a problem, if start the way we finished the game against Stevenage, the same line-up and formation that is we have the width at Fratton Park for Hughes, Croft, Grounds and Brown to swing balls in for Smith and Simpson. As far as I'm concerned we should win this game and kickstart our season in the process.
  7. I think the smartest thing to do with the Smith/Simpson strikeforce would be to get it out would and send Croft and Hughes down the wing with Grounds and Brown overlapping and then one of the 4 whipping the balls in for Smith and Simpson as all 4 have decent crosses and Smith and Simpson are decent headers of the ball and then with Changy/Furman following up if it should get cleared.
  8. Cisak Brown Byrne Mvoto Grounds Croft Changy Furman Hughes Simpson Smith Simpson's been off the boil recently but would still start him and bring Montano on as an impact sub. Tarky if needed if we're struggling at the back. Taylor for Smith later on in game.
  9. cant see that working for a walk as its not really competitive so finish time probably wont be recorded, its a nice idea though and I wish you all the best for your half marathon, its the Latics4Life campaign a registered charity?
  10. Yes mate but it doesn't matter anymore I've been talked into going, sorry.
  11. anyone want to or know of anyone that wants to buy Portsmouth tickets? not going now due to family issues so they're up for grabs cheaper than the club shop, coach ticket for £20 and an U17 match ticket for £8, £25 if bought together. If not would I be able to get a refund from the club?
  12. I know there isnt really much to choose from but who do you think was?
  13. I saw somewhere that last season Swindon lost 4 of their first 5 and Crewe lost their first 5 so you never know.. ;)
  14. okay so I spelt Vouchers wrong in the topic title, anyone know how to rectify this?
  15. In accordance with 'Greater Manchester Football' Oldham fans are entitled to five Bury and Rochdale matches for £5, in the Season Ticket it says '*applicable at selected league matches only. details to be announced in due course on the club's official website.' have these been announced and if not, when will they be announced!?
  16. Cisak Brown Byrne Mvoto Grounds Croft Furman Chang Hughes Simpson Smith Slew and Montano to be brought on around 70 mins nothing against Tarky, think he's a top player but would like to see Byrne at CB and Brown at RB
  17. because it annoys me that you obviously did 0 research before posting, it only takes less than a minute!
  18. I dont know if youve missed anyone out but Im liking the Soccer AM style representation.
  19. Emile William Ivanhoe Heskey is still a free agent..
  20. its not necessarily Oldham related but Reuben Hazell plays for Shrewsbury so I'm allowing it.. Anyway, did anyone else hear about Preston player Sherriff's wife being kicked out of Meadow Lane by the Shrewsbury manager Graham Turner himself? I assume she was in the 'VIP' and according to the player she was kicked out because he and her don't belong at Shrewsbury Town Football Club, reason? because he rejected a new contract and left Shrewsbury for Preston this summer. Absolutely Disgraceful imo.
