Hope he leaves a player up field when defending set pieces. Colchester had 4 players out of the box at one point and we had all 11 in or on the edge of the 18 yard box...

I don't think it's a bad idea to try to reduce the chances of conceding from set pieces by having everyone back. We need to improve on the way we push out after a clearance though.

oh no what have i become ?

My last two posts are worrying even me. I need to get laid BUT I’ve got a missus. ???

Do you not quite have the ability to go into the individual brilliance zone?

Something wrong with Baxter, he's had a couple of months to get fit and looks

    no nearer.

Why play him deep tonight when he so much off the pace he was always liable to be caught in possession?

    Hope that doesn't happen again.

Poor contributions from the  other subs Gardner and I'O'Grady too.

Pleasing performances from Maoche, Taylor, Surridge and Lang in particular.

Where's Miller, what's his injury problem?

I assume the idea was to have Baxter playing deeper so we could get hold of the ball a bit more. Backfired a bit...

I don't see how you would get more suspect calls. It's the same system as now except the linesman doesn't have to consider if a player is 'in play's or not.

He would effectively be making 1 split second decision instead of 2.

I'm not sure, because everyone is then in play. There could be situations where more than 1 player is on the back line. You'd then be making multiple offside calls.

  5. As others have said, didn't think Gardner was at his best(not been for a few games) but he has to be one of the first names on the teamsheet for me. His work rate, comfort on the ball and willingness to drive us forward make a massive difference. When JBB dropped into cm with him the composure of those two on the ball was excellent. It allows you to start to control the game and ultimately win.

I wasn't asking what the issue was, merely had you asked/been informed.

I believe the resolution of this matter to be more of an issue than whether the owner has put another 50p in the electric meter.

Anyway, like you say it will come out via the appropriate channels in due course.

When we get Mouche in you'll forget Jack Byrne ever existed.:chubb:

  7. I'd have said the formation was more 451 in the second half but whatever it was it was much needed. The first half it was just too busy in the middle of the park, we needed to stretch the play a bit more as that gives your cms more space. We weren't necessarily poor in the first half and probably should have gone in to the break at least level. We just needed that little bit of class byrne brings....

We got lucky, we made it to the trackside where they don't sell Strongbow Dark Fruits so thankfully it was never in any danger of being closed.

I can't be partisan today though, there was a large number of proper weapons present today following our club and it's an embarrassment. And like you say, not just kids. Fuck 'em

Every club has them, tools who are just there for a piss up and to give it the big I am.

Hopefully gone for good on a one way ticket.

Sometimes I question wether people know anything about football. He's not had the greatest impact yet and probably doesn't deserve a spot in the starting 11 but there's a very good player in there and as an impact sub he can be and is very useful....
