That centre mid for them, think his first name was Keenan ? Absolutely fantastic. Tackled, passed the ball well, kept hold of it. That’s a proper holding midfielder. On loan from West Ham.
Not chasing your own mistakes.

And yet is still our best midfielder...
That’s the issue. Conlon embarrassed himself today

We will be shit until the day of Nathan Sheron in central midfield is behind us. He gets worse in possession each week, somehow.
We have 0 width, which means we have no Plan B.
Extremely disappointed with Walker today, useless.
We have to win next two, simple as that.

But given the other results it clearly wasn't a must win
It was, these guys can’t win 3 on the bounce often.
-
How did Fondop not score at the end.
We lost all shape and hoofed it for 30 mins, did we have shape ?
Conlon, lost for words. Gardner and Sheron ending the match in CM says it all.
Piss poor really.

Ball bouncing off Norwood and Dallas.

We’re not making the play offs.
It’s looking this way.
Nathan Sheron losing the ball everytime he gets it and Conlon being crap is not helping.

Hate to say must win, but it does feel that way. Need two wins out of the next 3 for me.

Probably, but zero chance of it being sorted in time for next season's season tickets.
Wait for confirmation when season tickets are announced and then follow up again, if you like.
The club are clearly struggling to get this resolved and should accept the help.

Unless you were the person who had just paid X £'s to sponsor a game and a chance for you and your guests to meet the player you had nominated as MOM.
Wait a minute-that still applies today.
Are you suggesting people vote on the MOM based on who they want a chat with after ?
I paid a fortune to take my family to hospitality, 8 of us against Dorking. It was a 0-0, to hot of a day for my 90+ year old grandparents to sit in the stand and the after match interview was with Will Sutton.
It could have been anyone doing that interview, we couldn’t care less. You don’t go to see the MOM.
If they care that much, they got the club captain instead, not some youth team player. Grow up

Yeeeeahhhhh. You’re a wind up pal. Have you not got anything positive in your life to occupy you ? You spend a hell of a lot of time on here purposely disagreeing with the majority. It’s sad. I’m off to rattle the missus. Goodnight bud.

Does every fanbase make such an effort to dislike it’s own players so much or is it just us?
This is what baffles me. Not even just any player, our star player.
To be honest, if Norwood downs tools because he sees this rubbish that could be us out the play off chase fairly quickly.
Exactly what some fans want, like the dick head above….

I'm sure everyone would have understood if he had pulled out of the game in that scenario.
You needn't feel sorry for me, I don't abuse people I don't know on the Internet.
In that situation (which is a complete guess to make a point on my behalf) he’s done us a favour by playing ?
You do sit at your keyboard trying to cause controversy though. I’m not personal with anyone but you on here.

The issue is simply about showing some common courtesy to those who have paid decent money for a package that includes what I imagine would be a very brief post match chat with the man of the match.
It doesn't matter if people in attendance are bothered about it or not, you still show up, probably still in your kit, do your 5-10 minutes then you can be on your way, nobody is asking them to drink the bar dry or sit down for a three course meal.
I neither like nor dislike James Norwood or Micky Mellon and I certainly don't wish to see them fail.
For all you know one of his Grandparents could be on a death bed. You want him to go an accept a MOM award instead ?
You are just trying to cause shit, your life is that sad. Genuinely feel sorry for you.

Has anybody suggested he was lying?
It is the fact he couldn't give people who have paid good money to be there 5-10 minutes of his time and his arrogant dismissal of it that is the issue.
But he's scored a few penalties so having good manners doesn't matter.
They paid for hospitality, not to speak to James fucking Norwood.
I wish the mods would just block your account. You are pathetic.

And some people try to defend the indefensible when it suits.
You win MOTM, you show some courtesy and go and collect your award.
I'm sure wherever he says he had to be could have waited for 10 minutes.
What if it was an emergency for his family ?

Let’s call it stage fright then?
Yeah let’s go with that .
Anyways, more of the same next weekend but let’s get the win. We need to win next weekend, players have proved they can do it.

Its just an observation, nothing more…….I just think that maybe he’s a little shy?
I don’t think he’s shy, he goes absolutely crazy at his team mates at times.
Raglan was getting an ear full after that first goal yesterday.

You are right, there.
He's got to play the game a little bit though - even if he couldn't give a shit about collecting the award and he did have an important appointment. "It's not a case of "not being arsed", I had an important appointment to attend, so apologies to those concerned" sounds better than "Don't bother picking me for man of the match in future, if that's going to be your take".
People have different characters. If it’s a personal issue, people react irrationally.
From his perspective, he’s given everything to win us a game against top of the league, he was unplayable at times.
People are then questioning his character less than an hour after the match.
That’s before the whole not celebrating, Twitter picture ect.
Is it how I would react, probably not. But we arnt all the same and he’s clearly an emotional bloke.
-
It could be an important family matter for all we know. I’m sure MM and Barbin are aware.
Making an issue out of nothing.

Agreed, but then everyone played well yesterday.. there's been plenty of games where he and the rest of the team haven't been.
If he's guaranteed to get 20 again next season, then fine. Hopefully we'll get as many penalties (which do count, blah blah blah - but must professional players should score most of the penalties they take..).
As I say, something has never sat right. Some people see it, some people don't..
Your last part is implying that those that don’t have a problem with him are wrong.
I genuinely don’t care what he does when off the football pitch. As long as he scores important goals for us, I couldn’t care less.
Does he celebrate, get on with his team mates, do post match interviews. Maybe not. Does he score consistently for us, yeah absolutely. Crack on.

You wouldn’t be disappointed if he left ?
Considering he has 17 goals in the league this season and our next best is Fondop with 7, I would be.
He’s on his way to 20 goals and been injured for 6 weeks.
Oh, and he was absolutely unplayable in the first half yesterday against the league leaders.

Had an important appointment at 3:30, accordingto his twitter. Doesn't want to be considered again, if it's being suggested he can't be arsed..
Stats can't be disputed and a talented player, but something has never sat right about him here. Wouldn't be surprised - or too disappointed - if both parties agree a parting of ways in the summer...

MATCH: Dagenham and Redbridge (A) 23/03/24

Highlight for me was when he had the ball in the middle of the park, not a single opposition player near him. It was a 4 v 3 situation and he decided to pump it to the centre backs head. I was bloody raging.
The amount of times he gets passed the ball and just knocks it into a channel for no reason is baffling. He doesn’t like having the ball, an issue for a centre midfield player.
